It's our 25th Anniversary! 🥳

Life Care Center of Sparta is celebrating 25 years of service to our community! We have been so blessed to serve our community for the last 25 years, and we are so thankful for all of those we have had an opportunity to serve and for all of the associates we have served alongside over years. Many former employees and Life Care leaders were on-site for our celebration. We celebrated with a cookout for residents and associates and had a small reception with cake to follow. 🎂

It was a great honor to have Mr. Beecher Hunter and his wife Lola in attendance as well! Beecher served for many years in leadership at Life Care Centers of America, including as President, and was in attendance of the groundbreaking of our campus in 1999. Thank you, Beecher and Lola, for coming to celebrate this milestone with us!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate this momentous occasion! We look forward to the next 25 years! 🎈

We’re excited to announce that our very own Travis Duvier, speech-language therapist, was recently named runner-up for the 2025 BCAT® Erin Knoepfel Education Award! 🎉

The award recognizes outstanding speech-language pathologists who demonstrate expertise in cognitive rehab care, dedication to professional development and support for patients. 🗣️ Travis was nominated for his extensive knowledge of BCAT® resources and his collaboration with our multidisciplinary team, which has brought more tailored and personalized care to our patients.

“Travis does a great job in using BCAT® standardized assessments to teach the facility interdisciplinary team – including our physician and nurse practitioner, families and caregivers – about what the interpretive scores mean for providing the best care for the residents,” said Cathy Beckner, director of rehabilitation. “[He] has a kind, caring, thoughtful approach to care. He is open-minded, considerate, humble and a true team player.” 💛

Travis is grateful for the results and is excited to use the BCAT® materials from his runner-up’s package.

“I am really appreciative!” he said. “I look forward to continuing to develop my skills with BCAT® and using the materials they sent.”

We’re so thankful for Travis, and we’re proud of his achievement. Way to go, Travis! 👏

Kendra Roberts is celebrating her 10-Year Anniversary with Life Care Center of Sparta! 🎉

Kendra is a personal care assistant and works in our Assisted Living Facililty. She is dedicated to her residents and has become like family to many. The residents and familes know that they can always count on Kendra to be there for them to provide compassionate care and support! She is a gem and a true blessing to our team. We are so thankful for her dedicated service to our facility over the last 10 years and look forward to many more! Thank you, Kendra! 👏

Thank you to everyone who attended our first Family Council meeting on Tuesday night. 🥰

It was a great pleasure to have fellowship with the families of the residents who we are blessed to serve each day. It is important to us to keep the communication open between our staff (including our leadership team) and our residents' family members. If you ever have a question, please let us know! 🙋‍♀️

We look forward to our next meeting and are hopeful that our continued efforts will strengthen our bond.

Meet our new Executive Director, Justin Freeman! Justin has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tennessee Technological University and has several years of experience working in various long-term health care facility departments, including activities, nursing, patient relations, and administration. Before joining our center, he served as administrator at a post-acute and rehab center in Newport.“I am thrilled to now be part of the Life Care Center of Sparta team!” Justin said. “From the moment I arrived, both the staff and residents have welcomed me with open arms. It has been a joy getting to know everyone and learning what matters most to those we serve.”Justin’s favorite part of his job as an administrator is being able to engage with older adults and bringing them joy and quality care.“I look forward to continuing to serve the beautiful town of Sparta and working alongside our residents, staff, and families to make a meaningful difference every day,” he said about the future.
