Wondering the meaning behind the name Two Tone Chiropractic?

Two Tone Chiropractic was created to embrace the 2 divisions of the autonomic nervous system- the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. The sympathetic is in charge of the fight, flight, or freeze response. While the parasympathetic is in charge of the rest and digest response.

When the nervous system is free of misalignments and able to flow, sending messages without interruption, the body can effectively regulate itself. This happens when there is harmony and balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic tones.

We would also like to give a shoutout and thank you to the creative mind that helped bring the Two Tone logo to life!
She created the perfect simple, yet detailed logo to symbolize the meaning behind the name.

Meet your office emotional support staff, Dude:

Dude is a 6 year old ball of fluff, aka a German shepherd husky mix. He may be big, but he is a gigantic baby! He loves making new friends, which includes giving you a sniff down, especially if you have fur babies at home!

Dudes favorite activities include swimming, tearing up card board boxes, hikes and walks, playing fetch in a wide open field, rolling in mud, and of course frolicking in the snow when it makes it appearances! He loves going for car rides and feeling the wind in his fur, but understands that roadtrips require the magic shortcut (a good nap). Dudes favorite snack is cheese, and he ensures the cheese tax is always paid at home!

Be sure to give Dude some pets next time you’re in, if there’s a wait ask for a treat and have him show off some of his tricks for you! He’s been having a blast meeting everyone so far!🩶

Meet your chiropractic assistant (CA), Becky Mathis:

Becky’s hometown is Pacolet, SC. She now calls Campobello home with her husband, Adrian, and their 3 daughters. Kaleigh is 19, Phoebe is 15, and Amelia is 10!

Fun fact about Becky: she collects trading cards from different TV fandoms! She is a HUGE fan of Strangers Things and her other favorite is The Vampire Diaries. She has even met many individuals from the cast of The Vampire Diaries and visited the town where the show takes place!

Some of Becky’s other favorites include: An iced white chocolate mocha, psychological thrillers, and her current obsession of binge watching Gossip Girl!

We are so grateful to have Becky staying on at Two Tone Chiropractic after the transition she is the backbone of the office! Thank you Becky for all your hard work in helping us care for the community of Spartanburg!

Today was the official day of closing doors, but that only means walking through new open doors! Dr. Logan has paved the path and built something to last for years to come. She will be deeply missed within this community, but after seeing all of the lives she’s touched, it makes sense that we have to let her go do the same in the community she lives in.

We’re not saying goodbye, we’re saying good luck and see you later! Everyone will be patiently waiting to hear about your new adventures and take on the most recent conspiracies!

Meet your chiropractor, Dr. Angela Thomson:

“Let me formally introduce myself. Hi all I’m Dr. Angela! I am a 2025 graduate of South Carolina’s own Sherman College of Chiropractic, where I got to study and practice the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic. I found a passion in caring for families, because we heal better together.

Chiropractic has always been part of my life, as I grew up being seen by Dr. Kroes in Ann Arbor, MI. A healthy natural way of life always felt normal to me, and I was shocked to find out that not everyone shared that lens as I got older. My goal is to make chiropractic and holistic health accessible and normalized within the community.

Outside of the office you can find me spending time with my 4-legged child, Dude, and my boyfriend, Jacob. I love doing any sort of activity that involves the outdoors, especially admiring a sunrise or sunset! I’m very active and enjoy moving my body in intentional ways, like taking Pilates classes or enjoying a local walking trail. When I can get away, I love traveling and immersing myself in new cultures!

This weekend Dr. Angela had the great pleasure of becoming FOCUS certified! This entails building a brain based lens of approaching care. The nervous system is the focus of chiropractic, so it only makes sense to approach care by seeing why everyone’s main controller, aka the brain, is working in the way that it is.

This brain based lens is an incredible way to care for children, but also for individuals of any age. It helps to understand how efficiently each individual develops and works in their world and also how they go about doing so. We get to see how stress impacts their system, how they react, and how much stress they can handle before exploding… because as most of us know, we can only handle so much. By using a brain based lens, areas of possible inefficiency can be noted and strengthened.

We are excited to begin using the brain based lens in the office and watching the incredible impacts it can bring to everyone’s lives!🧠✨

Why chiropractic?

As a neurologically based chiropractic office, we at Two Tone are focused on your nervous systems function and flow.
Your nervous system is made up of your brain, spinal cord, and all the nerves traveling though your body.
The brain and spinal cord are housed by bones to keep them safe. However, those bones can shift out of alignment and put pressure on the nervous system causing a decrease in function.
Imagine a kink in a water hose. It creates pressure and backup, slowing the flow of water. When the obstruction is removed, water flows and pressure is relieved.
This is how chiropractic works. Adjustments are administered in locations of misalignments so the nervous system can flow freely and the body can function how it is properly supposed to.

Grab your family and friends and help us celebrate the grand opening and farewell transition of our doctors. We are sad to see Dr. Logan leave this office, but happy to know she’s doing what’s best for her family. Since family is always first, and the practice members are indeed family, Dr. Angela is honored that she has been entrusted to step in and care for them now.

We can’t wait to celebrate with the community on March 19th!
