Meet Tamerial Cheeks, a dedicated Career Consultant who has been part of the Charles Lea Center family for 7½ years. Tamerial is known for her uplifting spirit and the genuine care she brings to every interaction. She's always ready with a smile, kind words, or encouragement when it’s needed most. 💚
What Tamerial enjoys most about working at CLC is the opportunity to pour into someone’s life, even in the smallest ways. She finds joy in knowing that a simple gesture, like a smile, a pat on the back, or encouraging words, can help someone achieve something meaningful.
Her inspiration comes from a deep hope for change and a desire to help others who may be less fortunate. That passion shines through in everything she does.
In her role as a Career Consultant, Tamerial teaches job skills, helping individuals build confidence and preparing them to succeed in the community with strong work abilities and independence.
Tamerial’s journey includes graduating from Stone Mountain High School in Georgia, along with certifications in early childhood education and nursing, reflecting her long-standing passion for caring for others.
Outside of work, she enjoys event decorating and creating balloon décor. She has a wonderful family, including her husband of two years, one child, four bonus children, five grandchildren, and a 3-year-old Cavalier King Charles. She also loves traveling and hopes to visit Pittsburgh to see her favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, play and dreams of taking her family to Paris. ✈️
