Live Healthy Spartanburg

Live Healthy Spartanburg Live Healthy Spartanburg’s mission is to achieve health equity and improve health outcomes for all Spartanburg County residents.

We are committed to aligning community & stakeholders to bring about sustainable health solutions rooted in equity. Live Healthy Spartanburg represents the consolidation of two former health collaboratives, Road to Better Health (2009), and Spartanburg’s Way to Wellville (2014). Despite its many challenges due to the pandemic, 2021 marked the year of becoming one unified health initiative with ded

icated staff, and a collaborative network of multisectoral organizations committed to addressing Spartanburg County’s health and well-being needs. Our initiative plans to continue the work outlined by the former health collaboratives by completing the first comprehensive Community Health Improvement Plan for the county based on both quantitative and qualitative data provided by the Community Health Needs Assessment and Spartanburg County’s Racial Equity Index reports. We are committed as a health initiative to assuring community voice is highlighted and factors that exist beyond health care are addressed in our community as they are a direct driver in our health outcomes. Live Healthy Spartanburg is committed to aligning stakeholders to bring about sustainable health solutions rooted in equity.

Families showed up, some even walking up and jumping right in. Kids, parents, and neighbors moving their bodies, laughing, and taking care of their health together. That’s what community looks like.

Huge thank you to City of Spartanburg Parks & Recreation and Movement with Madelyn for helping bring this to life.

Thank you to our vendors:

We stopped by the pickleball courts at Duncan Park to ask players why they love the game. The answer? It’s fun, social, and a great way to stay active.
