Allen Lollis, LMFTA
Allen believes that one of the great privileges of life is walking alongside others through difficulty and supporting them as they grow. Over the course of his career, he has learned to offer a calm, steady presence when things get hard. His experience includes working with children and adults with special needs and their families, and he has spent over a decade in higher education supporting college students and their families through crisis, conflict, and major life transitions. Allen earned his bachelor's degree in history from Wofford College and his Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse University. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist associate in South Carolina.
Allen sees individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of challenges. He primarily works with men who feel worn down by anxiety, depression, grief, and the pressures of work, relationships, family, faith, and responsibility. His own faith shapes his belief that every person is worthy of dignity and respect, and it informs the way he listens, asks questions, and meets people with grace and care.
Outside of counseling, Allen enjoys good books, getting outside with his dog, Archie, spending time with friends and family, and is on an endless quest to find the best hamburger. He values meaningful conversations, a good, hearty laugh, and believes in not taking himself too seriously.
