Community members are invited to attend a FREE Financial Empowerment eBus Event on Tuesday, October 28th from 10 AM until 4 PM at the Dr. T.K. Gregg Community Center.

Join Fifth Third Bank and hop on their eBus to Financial Empowerment, where banking professionals will provide information on improving credit, budgeting, and saving money.

Refreshments will be served, and each workshop will have an opportunity for attendees to win gift cards!

Join us for a family-friendly day on Lake Cooley that starts with kayaking and ends with s'mores around the campfire!

Kayaks and Campfires will be on Saturday, November 1st from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. The cost is $15 per person and we have both single and two-person kayaks available to reserve.

Your ticket price includes the kayak rental, dinner (hot dogs, burgers, baked beans, chips, tea, soda & water) and s'mores for dessert!

The Spartanburg County Public Libraries cordially invites you to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Planetarium Learning Center. Ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 11:00 a.m. Tours, planetarium shows, and maker lab demonstrations to follow. This event is free and open to the public.

We are also excited to have Spartanburg native and Mattel Barbie designer Kitty Black Perkins with us to celebrate the new Maker Lab named in her honor. Kitty will have copies of her book Kitty's Favorite Jeans: A Guide to Newly Refurbished Jeans available for signing. Kitty will also be leading denim workshops in the Maker Lab through the end of October.

Tasha has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years. She has a degree in healthcare administration and works part time in an addiction treatment center. As a mother to three daughters, two bonus daughters and 2 grandchildren, there is never a dull moment in her home. She is a lifelong resident of Spartanburg. Tasha has been singing in a band for many years as music and dancing are a few of her passions. She also sings in her church choir. Tasha has a passion for people. Everyone who enters the doors knows Tasha just by her beautiful smile and welcoming persona.
