FirstLight Home Care of Spartanburg delivers home care services to those who need support at home, including seniors, veterans and those recovering from illness or injury. You may be a family member who has to take care of someone full-time due to illness, dementia or the difficulties that often come with aging. Each instance involves its own set of challenges, and our caregivers are more than capable of handling these unique situations. Your loved one deserves more than having someone who simply keeps them company. They deserve a caregiver who is passionate about creating meaningful relationships and motivated to do more. Our caregivers will take on all the tasks that must be done – cooking, laundry, cleaning, help with bathing and mobility. We listen more intently, care more passionately and laugh more heartily. We provide comfort, companionship and compassion for any adult who needs the services of a caregiver. We do more than make a meal or help with mobility. For us, it’s about establishing a strong relationship built on trust and friendship.

"I felt like I was drowning trying to take care of my husband.”

After Nolan’s stroke, his wife, Hazel, did everything she could (and so did the kids). But the weight was heavy.

Then Zae came in.

They weren’t sure how much a caregiver could help, but she jumped in right away to ease the burden and help keep Nolan at home. Housework, exercise, errands… and most importantly, earning his trust.

A 24-year military vet, Nolan wasn’t quick to open up. But now, he and Zae are best buddies. He shares stories. He feels encouraged. And the family gets to see the Nolan they knew before the stroke.

They’re not drowning anymore.
