Meet Kylee Turner, our Palliative Care team employee spotlight.

Kylee has been a valued member of our Palliative Care team since August 2024. She shares that working in palliative care means meeting people during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives. Walking alongside patients and families, building lasting relationships, focusing on individual goals, improving quality of life, and connecting patients with essential resources is what makes this specialty so meaningful. Seeing the impact of that care firsthand is incredibly rewarding and a source of daily pride.

Outside of work, faith and family are at the heart of everything she does — often enjoyed with a good cup of coffee in hand.

We are proud to continue our partnership with Dementia Care Specialists at Crisis Prevention Institute as we work to build a more Dementia Capable Care community for patients and caregivers navigating the dementia journey. With one in three seniors living with dementia today and cases rising rapidly, investing in education and compassionate, person-centered care has never been more important.

We are honored to be recognized as a Multi-Location Organization Recipient of the Dementia Capable Care Workforce Leader (DCC-WL) designation, reflecting our ongoing commitment to equipping our clinicians with the skills to focus on what each patient can do and may do, supporting dignity, purpose, and quality of life at every stage.

Our new branch in Lake Wylie, South Carolina celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday! Agape Care has served South Carolina for years, and we are honored to expand in our Lake Wylie community with this new brick & mortar location to better serve families in this area.

Today we pause to honor the caregivers who give so much of themselves every single day. Your time, your heart, and your strength make a difference that cannot be measured. We are here to support you in every way we can—through our volunteer services that offer companionship and a little rest when you need it, through grief support for both you and your family, through respite care, and through the Carnation Foundation, which helps provide resources for patients and caregivers alike. You are never alone, and we are deeply grateful for all that you give.

Our Louisiana volunteers celebrated Mardi Gras with the wonderful residents and patients at Brookdale and Summerfield facilities. A parade and a lively social with music and dancing kept the smiles going all day. Thank you to our volunteers for helping create such meaningful memories.

Our volunteer recently began a Veteran Life Journal legacy project with Mr. Jeril, a career serviceman who proudly served 5 years in the Navy and fifteen years in the Army. He enjoyed the legacy project and sharing his stories.

Our patient and his wife recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. What a beautiful milestone! With the help of our care team and volunteers, we surprised the couple with a special gift, made even more special by family photos from years past. Happy Anniversary and Happy Valentine’s Day, Mr. And Mrs. Thomas.
