✨ CarLeigh’s Story of Love ✨

Meet sweet CarLeigh Rose — a bubbly, loving 5-year-old who finds joy in loud noises (especially trucks 🚛), children’s voices, and snuggles. 💕

In April 2022, CarLeigh was diagnosed with Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency, an ultra-rare genetic disease with no cure. Before her diagnosis, she was walking, talking, and meeting milestones — but her growth slowed, and her family knew something wasn’t right. After countless tests and appointments, their worst fears were confirmed.

In 2024, CarLeigh lost her ability to walk, and soon after, her mobility and communication. Today, her family focuses on comfort, love, and quality of life — choosing to treasure every moment together.

Her mom shared:

“We take each day as if it’s her last and love more than yesterday.”

At Hands of Hope, we are honored to walk alongside CarLeigh and her family, providing compassionate, comfort-focused care. As her parents shared, “They’ve been nothing short of amazing.”

💜 Send CarLeigh and her family some love in the comments below.

✨ Milana’s Journey of Strength ✨

Meet beautiful Milana Fedorova — a bright little warrior who, at just 8 months old, has already shown incredible courage. 💜

Milana’s journey began before she was even born, when her family learned during pregnancy that she would face serious heart challenges. She was born at MUSC Charleston, where her family spent her first three months by her side in the hospital. During that time, Milana faced several complications, including surgery to remove an aneurysm — a chapter that tested her strength and her family’s faith.

After coming home, Milana and her family spent six long months preparing and waiting for her first open-heart surgery. Throughout it all, Hands of Hope had the honor of walking alongside them. Our nurse, Heather, became not just a caregiver, but a trusted presence and friend during some of their hardest days.

Milana’s mom shared:

“I am grateful to this organization — people who do good for such children as our daughter. May God bless you and all our children.”

At Hands of Hope, we are deeply humbled to support families like Milana’s — offering comfort, continuity, and compassionate care through every step of the journey. Milana, you are so very loved. 💕

💜 Drop a heart below to send love to Milana and her family.

Meet Bentley — a sweet, laid-back 4-year-old who loves swimming, swinging, and cuddling up on the couch. 💙 Known for his adorable “mean mug,” Bentley’s happy noises and bright smile light up every room.

Bentley was diagnosed just before his first birthday with Galloway-Mowat syndrome and microcephaly, conditions that affect his kidneys and development. While Bentley is unable to talk, walk, or hold his head up, his presence brings deep joy to those who know him.

His mother wants “people to be kind and treat children with disabilities just like any other kid. They are special, unique, and beautiful.”

Hands of Hope is honored to support Bentley and his family with compassionate, family-centered care. His family shared that their hospice team truly cares — with a special bond formed with Child Life Specialist Stephanie, whose visits are deeply meaningful.

💙 Help us celebrate Bentley by leaving a heart below.
