I am excited to announce that we have a new Medical Massage Therapist joining our team at MassageNetics! Meet Jennifer Chason.

"As a former biologist, the natural world has always fascinated me. But after 10 years in environmental science, I found myself drawn to working with people and soon trained as a massage therapist. I have since spent 20 years doing massage in a variety of settings, primarily in hospital-based practices where I worked with staff as well as patients.
Doing wellness and therapeutic massage for my wonderful clients over the years has been rewarding. But there were frustrations. Sometimes massage proved a very temporary solution to chronic pain and dysfunction, or tight muscles that wouldn’t budge. Then I became acquainted with medical massage and Dr. Ross Turchaninov of the Science of Massage Institute. I am excited to be 90% through the SOMI certification program and transitioning my practice to medical massage alone.
Unlike other massage approaches, medical massage relies on accurate assessment of pain patterns and other signs to select specific protocols that can create clinically stable outcomes (no more pain!) I am excited to be in a place to offer real, lasting relief for my clients’ musculoskeletal problems. My other highly rewarding job is coordinating the massage therapy program at Spartanburg Community College and teaching massage to promising future therapists! When not teaching or doing massage, my favorite activities are camping and hiking with my wonderful husband Stewart!!"
