Wise Mind Wednesday: Coping with Emotions

A large part of regulating our emotions involves knowing what to do when we have them. While this is, of course, an individualized experience, a starting point might be considering some typical responses to common emotions. Many of these responses involve pausing, resetting, and finding people or activities that might help. And no matter what emotion we’re experiencing, approaching ourselves with kindness and compassion is always a helpful start. Judging and shaming ourselves for having our emotions only adds insult to injury.
