Here’s a list of things you can do to rid pain and injury in 2026.
1️⃣: See a Chiropractor
Now, I know this is biased of me but stay with me. As a sports and family chiropractic duo, we offer many different treatments to help you recover and achieve your goals. No matter what you’re dealing with in our office you’re probably never going to get the “quick crack and run” treatment. We pride ourselves at Peak for our longer appointment times and systems to help you get to the root cause of your issues.
2️⃣: DON’T WAIT
The longer you wait to do something about these pain points you’re dealing with the longer it takes to recover from them. The best way to get back to doing what you love is to act ASAP!
3️⃣:Stop Resting
We see and hear it time and time again. “The best thing for your injury is to rest and not move it for a few weeks”. Wrong. In fact that’s often times the exact opposite of what you want to do. Our care plans consist of customized exercises to help you load the injured or painful areas at a safe level so that you can get back to doing what you normally do faster than ever while also preventing this injury from ever happening again. Plus “waiting a couple weeks” is just taking you 3 steps backwards. You’re setting yourself up for failure and re-injury.
4️⃣: Prioritize sleep
One of the biggest things I see from patients dealing with chronic pain is a lack of sleep. Sleep is one of the most important processes our body goes through on a day to day basis. Without sleep you increase your risk of injuries by impairing focus, reaction time, and physical recovery, while also raising inflammation and stress hormones that break down muscle and slow tissue repair, making you more prone to accidents and delaying healing when injured.
Pain is common, but it’s not normal. I’ll say it again and again!
Don’t let 2026 be another year where you’re struggling to get out of bed without taking ibuprofen or Tylenol. Let’s get down to the root cause, make some really simple lifestyle changes, and get you to your PEAK!
