Individuals at NHTC debuted their very own homemade mini floats in a one-of-a-kind hallway parade celebrating Fat Tuesday today. Complete with music, movement, and beads - laughing was heard from one side of the building to the other as they circled through vocational programs, administrative offices, and cubicles. Events like these remind us that while our work is serious and deeply meaningful, creating space for connection, creativity, and fun is just as important. In the middle of busy schedules, meetings, calls, and daily supports, it was a chance to pause, celebrate one another, and build community in a way that was both uplifting and unforgettable. Great job everyone!

We were honored and excited to host the Spearfish Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class of 2026 for a visit and guided tour of our organization. It is always a pleasure to welcome students who are interested in learning more about community support and leadership in action. We hope this experience gives the class valuable insight into servant leadership, collaboration, and the importance of supporting each other in our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect, answer questions, and inspire the next generation of leaders. Thanks for coming!

Northern Hills Training Center had a busy week last week flipping our lunchroom from the Rush hockey team visit to an astonishingly attended Spearfish Area Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit mixer! NHTC co-hosted the 100+ person event with Black Hills Area Community Foundation, and Good Shepherd Free Clinic joining in on 21 local nonprofit booths giving out good grub, insightful information, and community connection we all love and admire.
