For my 48th birthday I decided to run 48 miles on one of my favorite trails. The . This also happens to be the place where I’ll run my goal ultra marathon. Words can’t describe how much I love the North Dakota badlands and the Maah Daah Hey Trail. Complete isolation, peace, and solitude. The miles clicked by and I felt strong but am still keeping a healthy respect for the land and not underestimating it.
