As we celebrate EMS Recognition Day during EMS Week 2026, we would like to recognize an outstanding member of the Hansford County Hospital EMS team, Clint Sims, EMT.
Clint was recently awarded our 2025 EMS Provider of the Year for his unwavering dedication to excellence and his commitment to serving both his team and community. Clint never backs down from a challenge. Instead, he dives right in, always looking for ways to improve himself and help ensure Hansford County Hospital EMS is the very best it can be.
Clint is the definition of a team player. There never seems to be a problem he cannot fix, and if he does not immediately know the solution, he works tirelessly until he figures it out. His determination, work ethic, and willingness to learn make him an invaluable part of our EMS family.
In November 2024, Clint enrolled in an online Emergency Medical Responder course and quickly obtained his ECA (Emergency Care Attendant) certification. He immediately continued his education by enrolling in an online EMT class. After months of studying and hard work, he earned his EMS license, but he did not stop there. Because of his passion for learning and advancing his skills, Clint is now enrolled in an online paramedic program through Texas School of EMS.
Clint consistently demonstrates teamwork, compassion, dedication, and excellence in every aspect of his work. In 2025 alone, Clint served an incredible 5,386 on-call hours for EMS. This is the equivalent of 224.4 days. During that time, he played a pivotal role in 172 EMS calls, including transfers, 911 responses, and standbys. No matter the call, Clint always shows up ready to provide the best care possible.
Congratulations, Clint! We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and cannot wait to see what your future in EMS holds. Keep doing amazing things!๐คฉ
