Everyone needs their "something". You know, that thing that doesn't give you money, but it gives you drive, motivation and to do better in life. One of mine is/was coaching after being done playing ball myself around 32. It does so much for me, to see the development of kids, teens, college athletes, and so on. Most times I didn't get paid, but I didn't want to get paid.

I could never buy the feeling I've gotten when a pitcher goes from having terrible form, to great form. After the age of 35, life became about "what can I pass on". It's my something

THERAPIST'S TOPIC OF THE DAY

Control

Humans can develop a sense of needing to be "in control" of everything in their lives (work, relationships, emotions, etc.)

Did you know that the "I have to be in control" belief can be due to negative life experiences (normally in childhood) where the person had NO CONTROL OVER IT!

The number one cause of this in my line of work is sexual abuse as a child.......

If you know anyone that is controlling, hopefully this isn't the case, but what if it is/was???? Would you treat them better?? Give them more grace?
