Continuing Education in Dementia Care
Recently, our therapy team participated in a specialized training focused on neurocognitive impairments and their impact on rehabilitation and daily functioning in individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Through group activities, discussion, and case studies, we examined the abilities and challenges present in each stage of dementia and explored effective, stage-specific intervention strategies. We also focused on practical techniques for managing the behavioral and communication changes common to these conditions.

This experience reinforced our commitment to providing care that is both compassionate and evidence-based. Continuing education allows us to bring up-to-date, meaningful strategies back to our team, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of those we serve.
