We often tell young children to "think" before they speak or act, or "listen" to the voice inside your head. But did you know inner speech typically develops between the ages of 5-7 AND is delayed for children with ADHD? Some may never have inner diaglogue! So, let's stop asking children to do things they aren't capable of doing and build on what they can!
