Let me ask you something…

When was the last time you felt truly safe in your own body?

Not distracted.
Not busy.
Not pushing through.

But actually… safe.

Because for a lot of people—especially those who’ve been through trauma—
“normal” doesn’t feel calm… it feels like tension, overthinking, and always being on edge.

We call it anxiety.
We call it stress.
We call it “just who I am.”

But what if it’s not who you are…
What if it’s what your nervous system learned to do to protect you?

Always thinking?
Always scanning?
Always bracing for something to go wrong?

That’s not weakness.
That’s protection.

But here’s the real question…

👉 What would your life feel like if your body didn’t have to stay in survival mode anymore?

Drop one word below:
CALM, SAFE, or STILL
Which one feels the hardest for you right now?

Let’s talk about it

Trauma doesn’t just live in the mind… it lives in the gut.

If your nervous system is stuck in survival mode, your body isn’t focused on absorbing nutrients—it’s focused on staying alive.

Here’s why nervous system regulation matters for gut health:

• Blood flow is pulled away from digestion in fight/flight
• Stomach acid and enzymes decrease → poor breakdown of food
• Nutrient absorption becomes inefficient
• Gut inflammation increases
• The gut-brain connection (vagus nerve) becomes dysregulated
• You can eat “healthy”… and still feel depleted

Healing isn’t just what you eat.
It’s the state your body is in when you eat.

Regulate the nervous system…
and the body can finally receive what it’s been missing.

About 90% of serotonin (your mood-regulating neurotransmitter) is produced in the gut. When trauma disrupts the nervous system, it also disrupts gut function—affecting mood, anxiety, and emotional regulation.

This is why nervous system regulation is so vital.

You cannot absorb nutrients or medications, which can keep us unhealthy and unwell.

For today, check in and see where your nervous system is.

What did you do today for your self-care?

Self-care is so important whether you are a survivor or caring for one.

We sometimes never put ourselves first. It's okay to.

Today, I spent two hours outside chasing my grandson around at the playground. It felt amazing.

There’s a moment…when you look at the broken pieces of your life and wonder if anything beautiful could ever come from them.

The cracks.
The pain.
The parts you try to hide.

But what if those very places…
are where God does His greatest work?

Kintsugi teaches us something powerful—the broken places aren’t meant to be discarded.
They are meant to be restored.

Not erased.
Not covered up.
But filled… with gold.

Just like us.

God doesn’t shame your brokenness. He steps into it.
He gently gathers every shattered piece…and begins to rebuild you with intention, love, and grace.

And those cracks you thought disqualified you?

They become the very places
His light shines through the most.

They become your testimony.
Your strength.
Your beauty.

Broken… to Beautiful.

If your heart has ever felt shattered, if you’ve ever wondered if healing is possible for you…

Come sit at the table.

You saw this for a reason...

Something in you said,
“I need this.”
“I can’t keep doing this the same way.”
“I’m tired.”

But then life got busy…
doubt crept in…
and now you’re still sitting in the same place, feeling the same weight.

I want you to hear me clearly:

Nothing changes… if nothing changes.

This isn’t just another event.
This is a space where you don’t have to pretend you’re okay.
Where your nervous system can finally breathe.
Where you’re surrounded by people who get it—because they’ve lived it.

👉 You don’t need more time.
👉 You don’t need to “figure it out first.”
👉 You just need to say yes to yourself.

This is your last call.

Don’t let this be another “I wish I would have…”

🎟️ Tickets are $79

CPTSD isn’t just about what happened…

it’s about what your nervous system had to become to survive it.

It often develops from ongoing or repeated trauma. Not just one event, but a pattern your body never got to fully come out of.

What CPTSD can feel like:
Always “on edge” or waiting for something to go wrong

Emotional flashbacks (big feelings with no clear current cause)

Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe in relationships

Chronic shame, self-blame, or feeling “not enough”

Overthinking, shutdown, or swinging between both

Physical symptoms (fatigue, pain, gut issues, tension)

It’s not that something is wrong with you. Your nervous system adapted to protect you.

How the Summit Will Help?

Because healing doesn’t happen in isolation…it happens in safe, regulated, connected spaces.

And that’s exactly what you’re creating.

1. Safety comes first (this is everything)

Your nervous system cannot heal where it doesn’t feel safe.

This summit is intentionally designed to be:

Calm, not chaotic

Supportive, not overwhelming

Judgment-free, not performative

That alone begins to soften survival patterns.

2. Regulation is taught — not assumed

Most people with CPTSD were never taught how to feel safe in their body.

At the summit, they’ll learn:

Breathing techniques to calm the nervous system

Somatic awareness (understanding body signals)

Grounding tools they can actually use in real life

Not just “talking about healing”… but experiencing it.

3. The body gets included in healing

CPTSD lives in the body — not just the mind.

Through your approaches (breathwork, somatics, therapeutic art):

Stored tension begins to release

The body learns a new baseline of calm

People can process without having to relive everything verbally

This is huge for people who feel stuck.

4. Connection replaces isolation

One of the deepest wounds of CPTSD is feeling:

“No one understands me.”

WE UNDERSTAND YOU...

When someone walks into a room and realizes:

“I’m not the only one”

“I’m not broken”

“Other people feel this too”

That alone can be life-changing.

5. It creates hope — not just awareness

A lot of spaces talk about trauma…

But our summit shows people:

Healing is possible

Regulation is learnable

They are not stuck this way forever

And when someone with CPTSD feels even a small shift of hope…
their entire system starts to open.

CPTSD doesn’t mean you’re broken.
It means your nervous system learned to survive.

And at the We Understand You Summit, we help your body learn something new:

Safety
Regulation
Connection
Healing

Because when the body feels safe…everything begins to change.

Some of you are holding it together on the outside…
but inside, your nervous system is exhausted.

Smiling when you want to shut down. Pushing through when your body is asking you to rest.
Telling yourself “you’re fine” when you’re anything but.

You’re not broken.
You’re overwhelmed.
And your body has been trying to protect you the only way it knows how.

This summit was created for you.
A place where you don’t have to pretend.
A place where your nervous system can finally exhale.

If this spoke to you… you already know. 🤍
