Suzanne has been part of the Nectar Flow community for nearly a decade, and stepping into this training felt like a natural extension of the home she has found here. She shared how deeply supported she felt throughout the program and how the manual became a real anchor for her, not just a book but a well of wisdom she keeps returning to as she grows.

What stood out most for her was gaining genuine confidence. The kind that comes from real understanding, steady encouragement, and being reminded again and again not to give up on yourself. She walked away feeling clearer, stronger, and ready to share yoga in her own way, one class, one student, one moment at a time.

And if you want to feel Suzanne’s energy firsthand, she is teaching our Happy Hour Yin class tonight at 5 pm. Come melt into your weekend with her. Donations encouraged and go to Helping Hands 🫶

The next teacher training cohort is officially open for enrollment. If something in her story pulls at you, trust that nudge. Your journey is closer than you think. 🐝✨

Stop letting the “shoulds” keep you from practicing yoga. You don’t need an hour, total peace and quiet, a perfect playlist, or a packed studio to have a real practice.

Some of the most meaningful yoga happens in those in-between moments—when you give yourself ten minutes, no plan, no pressure, just breath and movement.

Self-practice can feel awkward at first. You might feel unmotivated or unsure of what to do next. But if you let your body lead, it will always show you where to go.
Honestly, it’s often more grounding and real than anything set to remixed 80s music in that trendy studio 😂

But if you want a little structure to get started, here’s the short flow I did today by the lake: ☀️

1. Settle + Warm Up
– Meditation in Hero’s Pose
– Set slow, steady breaths
– Cat/Cow spinal warm ups
– A few gentle Camel variations (because y’all we do not backbend enough!)

2. Get Things Moving
– Down Dog → stretch through calves + hips + hamstrings
– Low Lunge → Half Split on each side
– Thread the Needle for shoulders + upper back
– Yogi Squat with easy twists

3. Build Heat (just enough!)
– 3–5 rounds of Sun Salutation A
– 1–2 rounds of Sun Salutation B

4. Cool Down
– Supine twists
– A few Bridges
– Savasana (always)

This whole thing took maybe 10 minutes, and it completely reset my body after a morning at my desk. Bonus points if you can get outside… and extra bonus points if you can be by water. 🌊

This park is five minutes from my house and it makes the perfect midday reset.

Follow for more short flows you can do anywhere.

When students describe Nectar Flow Yoga as “life-changing,” I know they’ve discovered what our training is truly about — growing at your own pace, finding real community, and stepping into the confidence to teach.
Nectar Flow Yoga isn’t just a studio — it’s a place where friendships form, confidence grows, and students evolve into teachers. 💛
If you’ve been thinking about becoming a yoga teacher (or simply deepening your practice), our next 200-hour hybrid training is open for enrollment now.

INSTRUCTIONS: Start typing...My least favorite yoga pose is and then choose from the words above the keyboard to finish the sentence and reveal your truth 😆 here's mine...

My least favorite yoga pose is a pose from my childhood that was made for my daughter. So Lotus Pose 🪷😂 my hips would agree.

My SUPERPOWER: I can teach anyone in a room. Online? I’m seriously struggling.
Teaching in person is a living, breathing conversation.
Translating that online often feels like shouting into a void.
I’ve spent years teaching humans—kindergartners, middle schoolers, high schoolers, and now yoga students of every level. Reading the room, responding in real time, creating connection… that part comes naturally.
But translating that into the online space?
That’s where things get messy.
I don’t want to perform.
I don’t want to pretend.
And I definitely don’t want to package myself into some perfectly curated “online teacher persona.”
But in 2025, the screen is often the first doorway people walk through before they ever step into the studio or into a yoga teacher training. Which means showing up here—awkwardly, honestly, imperfectly—is part of the work.
If you want the full story, I wrote a deeper reflection on the blog.
Check “Read More” in my stories or head to the website.
And if you’re looking for
✨ a real, human-centered yoga class
or
✨ a teacher training that actually teaches you how to teach people (not poses)
you’ll find that here too.
Curious—does showing up online feel weird for you as well?
Let’s talk about it.
