The scale does not always show in our favor and that's okay! There is a big difference between a pound of fat and a pound of muscle.

BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) is a method used to estimate the body composition; particularly body fat and muscle mass.

How does it work? It involves running a weak electric current through the body, measuring the voltage to calculate impedance. This is used to estimate total body water and body fat.

BIA measures total body weight, intracellular verse intracellular water, skeletal muscle mass, phase angle, bone mineral content and a lot more.

This is great to track your fat loss and to monitor so that diet changes are not causing any muscle loss.

That familiar “clean laundry” smell is not a sign of cleanliness. Scientists explain it comes from volatile organic compounds released by scented detergents and fabric softeners. These VOCs evaporate easily and are inhaled with every breath, especially in enclosed indoor spaces with limited ventilation.

Many fragrance formulas are made from dozens of undisclosed synthetic chemicals. When heated in dryers or released from freshly washed clothes, these compounds linger in indoor air for hours. Research has linked VOC exposure to headaches, dizziness, respiratory irritation, hormone disruption, and worsened asthma symptoms, with some classified as potential carcinogens.

Indoor air is often more polluted than outdoor air, making laundry rooms, bedrooms, and closets chemical hotspots. Clothes are already clean after washing; fragrance adds no hygiene benefit. Switching to fragrance-free products or using alternatives like wool dryer balls can significantly reduce indoor air pollution and exposure risks.
