On November 2, 2017, Jordan was in a rollover automobile crash in Spirit Lake, Idaho. He broke his neck in several places and suffered yet another spinal cord injury, . He was just beginning to regain his independence and life after becoming paralyzed from the chest down on November 17, 2015 in Twin Lakes. At that time, he was driving during a severe windstorm and a large tree fell and crushed the vehicle he was driving. He spent two years learning to live as a paraplegic despite multiple health setbacks. He has been hospitalized multiple times. In the last two weeks before the rollover crash, Jordan really began to enjoy life again and had just about mastered the challenges of being a paraplegic. His future once again was looking bright. On the first snowy night of the season, a terrible accident once again changed Jordan's life. After nearly two hours, he was extricated from the wreckage. Hours later he learned that he is now a quadriplegic vs a paraplegic. He had surgery to stabilize his back on 11/4/17. After 8 days in ICU, he was transferred to an acute rehabilitation hospital. Because of the extent of his injuries, he has been referred to Craig's Hospital in Colorado. They specialize in treating patients with spinal cord injuries. If all approvals go through, he will be flown to Denver on Monday 11/20/17. Doctors are optimistic that he can regain his independence and live a fulfilling life. Jordan continues to have a positive attitude and is showing gains in strength and function daily. He has always put others needs first. For days after the crash, his memory was poor. He repeatedly asked about the two others in the wreck. Both had minor injuries. Yet, they were his priority. He now worries about paying for his recovery and doesn't want his family and friends to go in debt over him. Ideally, it would help Jordan to focus on his health and healing vs stressing about money at this time. If you are able to donate to his medical care in any way, it would be deeply appreciated.
