Meet Crystal Meyer, ARNP, Owner of Lakes Dermatology and a provider with more than a decade of deep-rooted experience in the dermatology world.
Crystal began her dermatology rotations with Dr. Scott Green from 2010–2012 and stepped fully into dermatology in 2012 — immediately drawn to the variety, complexity, and impact of the specialty.
When it comes to her favorite conditions to treat? It’s hard to choose — but she’s especially passionate about complex rashes and Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Crystal loves helping patients feel even a little bit better than when they walked through the door, especially those managing chronic conditions where education and ongoing support are key. You’ll often find a Nebraska Medical Center PA student by her side — teaching is one of her greatest joys.

Our Spirit Lake office found 11 melanomas over a very recent 17 day time period. These were found using dermoscopy during routine skin examinations.

The American Cancer Society has released its 2026 melanoma data and projections, which include:

The number of new melanoma cases diagnosed in 2026 will increase by 10.6 percent.

An estimated 234,680 cases of melanoma will be diagnosed in the U.S. in 2026.

An estimated 8,510 people will die from melanoma in 2026: 5,500 and 3,010 women.
