Muscles LOVE heat, joints LOVE ice. There are exceptions, but anytime you have inflammation you should use ice. As a Massage Therapist, adding heat to your session allows the muscle tissue to further release. The result is a longer lasting outcome from the Massage!

The fabric of the human body is FASCINATING! When you look at the muscle structure, you begin to see how it is all connected.

Why do I work your hip if your neck is off? Because, as you can see, the neck is directly connected to the hip! If the hip is high or low, it will pull on the occiputal muscles causing neck discomfort or headaches. It will create an imbalance in your structure.

When I look at your posture, I can SEE these imbalances. Then your body begins to unwind under my hands. God knew human touch was medicine.🩷

The nervous system LOVES to make your muscles fire 24/7.....thats where I come in! Guarded muscles are prone to injury, and we as a society, are in a constant state of fight or flight. Our bodies are consistently stressed causing muscle tightness.

In order do deep tissue on an already guarded muscle, it's imperative that we relax your nervous system first. I refuse to press my elbow into an already stressed muscle, causing possible bruising or injury.

Deep tissue is absolutely wonderful, when done with respect for the body! Allow me to calm your nervous system by taking time for YOU!

The human body is amazing....my favorite aspect of doing bodywork is finding the root cause of your pain. You may think its your shoulder, but I will find the issue in your hip.

Or you can't raise your arm, and the issue is IN your armpit! A beautiful puzzle in solving your pain!
