🎃🍂 Fall Fun at Siemers Pumpkin Patch! 🍂🎃

Our residents had an amazing time visiting Siemers Pumpkin Patch! From the delicious cheese curds to the pumpkin and huckleberry donuts, every bite was pure autumn goodness. 😋

We also loved watching the kids do the Monster Mash — their energy and laughter made the day even more special! 🧡👻

Our residents and staff have been busy putting the final touches on Halloween fun - from decked-out doors and silky super spider webs and a patch of pumpkins that would make any ghoul proud!

Our residents and staff have been hard at work (and play!) getting ready for Halloween! From our spooky “Lowe’s crew” skeletons patching up the place, to pumpkin piles at the front door, to our fitness class full of life (and one very dedicated bony participant), the spirit of the season is alive and well here at Colonial Court!

We’re having so much fun setting the stage for our Halloween celebration - stay tuned for the final reveal and all the “boo-tiful” costumes! 👻💀🧡

🎃🍿 Halloween Treats & Sweet Memories! 🍿🎃

Our residents had a spooktacular time enjoying a festive Halloween treat and food demonstration from our talented Chef Erik! He showed us how to make classic popcorn balls, bringing back warm memories of Halloweens past — and plenty of smiles.

It was more than just a treat; it was a moment of sharing, laughter, and reminiscing about the traditions we’ve all cherished over the years. Thank you, Chef Erik, for creating such a fun and heartwarming experience!

✨ A Beautiful Day of Exploration and Inspiration ✨

Our residents recently had the pleasure of touring the breathtaking Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist — and what an experience it was! 🏛️⛪

From the moment we stepped inside, we were awed by the magnificent Gothic-style architecture. Towering stone arches, intricate stained glass windows, and the soaring vaulted ceilings created a sense of peace and reverence that was felt by all.

The craftsmanship and attention to detail in every corner of the cathedral tell a story of artistry, faith, and history. It was a special opportunity for our residents to learn about the building’s rich past while enjoying the beauty of its timeless design.

A big thank you to the Cathedral staff for their warm welcome and informative tour — this visit will be remembered and cherished! 💜

💧We had a memorable visit to the Water Resource Center and Water Reclamation Facility. 💧

At the Water Resource Center, they do so much more than just tours: they host interactive exhibits that teach about the Spokane River, the Spokane Valley–Rathdrum Prairie aquifer, stormwater, wastewater reclamation, and how humans impact and protect water systems.

We also had the privilege of touring the Spokane County Regional Water Reclamation Facility (adjacent to the Center), where we saw how wastewater is treated and transformed back into safe water resources for the environment. Our seniors walked the full 1‑mile tour without missing a beat — very proud of their energy and curiosity.

A big thank you to Hannah and Amity for leading such an informative, hospitable, and inspiring tour. We left with new appreciation for how water works — and how important it is to steward it wisely.

✨ We ended National Assisted Living Week in style! ✨

Our celebration wrapped up with a beautiful candle-lit prime rib dinner served by our Directors, followed by a spectacular Bananas Foster dessert presentation that delighted everyone’s taste buds 🍌🔥

Residents and staff alike took this special evening as an opportunity to dress in their best formal attire, making the night feel extra elegant and unforgettable. 💃🕺

It was a perfect way to honor the week – filled with laughter, community, and cherished memories. 💛

✨ A Taste of Italy—Right Here at Colonial Court! 🍕

As part of our National Assisted Living Week celebration, we turned our dining room into Little Italy! Residents and staff enjoyed freshly handmade pizzas and topped off the meal with authentic cannoli's from Veniero's —shipped all the way from New York! 🗽✈️

The flavors were rich, the music was lively, and the smiles were endless. It was a delicious reminder that you don’t have to travel far to experience something special.

Big thanks to our team for bringing the magic of Italy to our table—and making memories one bite at a time! 🇮🇹❤️

🌮🎉 Taco Tuesday, Colonial Court Style! 🎉🌮

We kept the National Assisted Living Week celebration going strong with a delicious Taco Tuesday—and this time, we brought the flavor right to our front door! A big thank you to Tacos Tumbras for rolling into our community and serving up an amazing lunch straight from their taco truck.

Residents and staff alike enjoyed every bite—good food, great company, and lots of smiles made this a meal to remember!

There’s nothing like tacos to bring people together. 😋🌮💛

🍬 Sweet Appreciation from the Heart! 🧡

As part of our National Assisted Living Week celebrations, our amazing residents rolled up their sleeves and put together "Colonial Court Survival Kits"—fun and thoughtful candy bags made especially for our dedicated staff!

Each bag was packed with sweet treats and even sweeter messages of gratitude. It was such a heartwarming way for our residents to say “thank you” to the caregivers, housekeepers, kitchen crew, and everyone who helps make Colonial Court feel like home.

We are so proud of the love and community spirit that fills our halls every day. 💖
