🌞 35 Years of Sunshine, Smiles & Shenanigans! 🌞
This weekend we celebrated the 35th Annual Sunshine Health Facilities Company Picnic — and WOW, what a day!
From the mouthwatering Longhorn BBQ to endless slices of delicious cake (and snow cones for days! ), we went all-out in true Sunshine style!
We had 3-legged races that defied gravity, water balloon tosses that turned into full-blown splash wars, and Bingo games that got surprisingly intense.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a Sunshine event without some epic prizes for staff and kiddos alike!

35 years of laughter, fun, and the most incredible team we could ask for. Here's to keeping the tradition alive and the memories coming!

Big Milestone Alert!

We’re thrilled to share that the roof is officially going on at our new Assisted Living community!

This is a major step in bringing our vision to life — a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where residents will feel right at home. Every beam, every shingle, and every detail brings us closer to opening our doors and serving our future residents with the care and dignity they deserve.

Resident & Family Carnival FUN!

What a blast we had at our AFH Carnival! From tasty popcorn, hot dogs, chips, and juicy watermelon to exciting games, tattoos, and even a dunk tank — it was a day full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
We are so thankful for our amazing residents and their families who make our community so special. And a HUGE shoutout to our incredible staff who made it all happen — your hard work, heart, and creativity showed in every detail!

Construction Update – We're Making Great Progress!

We're excited to share that construction on our new assisted living building is moving right along! We’ve officially started work on the third floor, and everything is running smoothly.

Each day brings us closer to opening our doors and providing a warm, supportive home for future residents. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue building a space where care, comfort, and community come together.

Congratulations, Jill Ford!

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate our talented Dietitian, Jill Ford, as she officially begins her Administrator-in-Training (AIT) program with the State of Washington!

Under the mentorship of our Administrator, Jon Dresback, Jill is taking a big step forward in her leadership journey. She has continually stepped up as a leader—showing unmatched dedication, professionalism, and a deep passion for supporting both our residents and staff.

This exciting opportunity is a testament to her hard work and heart, and we can’t wait to see how she continues to shine and grow right here at Sunshine!

✌️We also had some Groovy times at our Adult Family Homes!✌️

We celebrated 70’s Day this week in true throwback fashion—with some totally tubular tie-dye shirt making! 🎨👕 Our residents and team members got creative, colorful, and a little messy as we swirled up some serious fun.

The smiles were bright, the shirts were brighter, and the 70’s spirit was alive and well. Peace, love, and creativity all around!

🌼✌️Feelin’ groovy at work yesterday!✌️🌼
We threw it way back for a far-out 70’s themed day—bell bottoms, peace signs, disco vibes and all! The energy was high, the music was funky, and the outfits were totally groovy.

And the best part? We got to celebrate our amazing HR Director’s birthday too!
She keeps us all running smoothly, so today we made sure she felt the love!

What a sweet success!

Our Whipped Cream Pie-in-the-Face Fundraiser and Ice Cream Social was an absolute blast!

Thank you to everyone who donated, participated, and took a pie like a champ — all for a great cause! Events like these remind us that work can be fun and meaningful.
