🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day from Sunshine Health Facilities! 🍀

Yesterday was filled with laughter, good food, and lots of green! Our residents and staff enjoyed a festive celebration featuring refreshing green lotus drinks, a delicious corned beef and cabbage lunch, and a fun game that brought everyone together.

It was wonderful to see so many smiles and shared moments throughout the day. Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so special!

Sunshine Home Health February Highlights!

February was an amazing month for our Sunshine family! We reached the highest February census in our history a huge milestone that reflects the dedication, compassion, and teamwork of our incredible staff in Sunshine Home Health!

At our recent All-Staff Meeting, we had plenty to celebrate:
A special birthday celebration for our amazing Administrator.
Great education and learning opportunities.
Fun role plays focused on strengthening our customer service skills.
Recognition of our Employee of the Month.
And a special Sunshine Award honoring our outstanding PT for going above and beyond!

Moments like these remind us that what makes Sunshine Home Health so special is our team. Your commitment to our patients and to each other truly shines every day.

Big things are happening at Sunshine On Raymond Assisted Living!

The progress keeps rolling along and we’re getting one step closer to opening our doors. Floors are going in, fresh paint is brightening the halls, and the interior is really starting to come together. It’s amazing to see the vision turning into reality day by day!

Every new layer—whether it’s flooring, paint, or finishing touches—brings us closer to creating a warm, welcoming home for future residents. We can’t wait to share more updates as things continue to take shape. Stay tuned… the transformation is exciting!

Kaylee started here at Sunshine in December 2024.

What she loves most about her job is who she works with. She says "The community at Sunshine is so supportive and kind; you truly feel like a part of a close-knit team, and not just a face in the crowd. I always look forward to seeing everyone when I come in."

What she looks forward to the most is continuing to grow with this company and hopefully be able to contribute more to it in the future!

Over the years, I’ve loved being the go-to person for payroll inquiries, helping teammates by answering and solving their questions, and making payday a little brighter. There’s nothing better than using what I know to support my coworkers and keep things running smoothly.
One of the absolute highlights? Being part of the Sunshine Club Committee—where teamwork and fun go hand in hand!

Sunshine’s Once-a-Year, All-Staff Extravaganza was one for the books! (And yes, it absolutely lived up to the hype.)

We gathered together for our annual celebration of all things Sunshine — the people, the progress, and the passion that make our community shine a little brighter every year.

Celebrating Longevity
One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was recognizing our incredible team members who have dedicated years (and in some cases decades!) to Sunshine. Their commitment, compassion, and consistency are the backbone of everything we do.

Employees of the Year
Next up: the big cheers! Our Employees of the Year were announced, and let’s just say the applause could probably be heard from the new assisted living site. These team members go above and beyond every single day — lifting residents, lifting spirits, and lifting the bar for excellence.

Rite Value Employee Winners
We also honored our Rite Value Employee winners — those shining examples of what it truly means to live our values. Whether it’s respect, integrity, teamwork, or excellence, these individuals don’t just talk about our values… they walk them. And sometimes run them, because have you seen how busy they are?

Diving Into Something New – The Fish Philosophy!
One of the most exciting announcements was the launch of our new customer service program based on the legendary Fish Philosophy, inspired by the energy and service culture of Seattle’s famous Pike Place Fish Market.
We’re talking about:
• Choose Your Attitude
• Play
• Make Their Day
• Be There
It’s all about bringing energy, positivity, and intentional service into every interaction — with residents, families, and each other. And if you spotted a few fishy puns swimming around.

The day was filled with laughter, applause, maybe a few happy tears, and a whole lot of Sunshine pride. What stood out most? The reminder that buildings matter, programs matter, but PEOPLE are what make Sunshine special.

Here’s to another year of growth, gratitude, and maybe even a little more “Play” in our day.

We’re building more than a new assisted living community, we’re building something special for the Spokane Valley.

As a family-owned company since 1949, caring for seniors has always been personal for us. Our mission has stayed the same for generations: to serve this population with dignity, compassion, and a true sense of home.

This new community will bring thoughtfully designed living spaces, dedicated care, and a team that treats residents like family—because that’s how we’ve always done things. We’re proud to continue our legacy right here in the Spokane Valley and can’t wait to welcome residents through our doors soon.

Exciting things are happening!
Progress at our new assisted living community is right on track, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Beautiful amenities are coming together, and residents will soon be able to choose from studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments designed for comfort and ease.

Best of all, this new community will be part of the Sunshine family, where care, connection, and community come first. Stay tuned—great things are ahead, and we can’t wait to welcome you home!

The holiday season here at Sunshine Health Facilities has truly been magical!
From our Festival of Trees and Ugly Christmas Sweater Day to a delicious Italian Christmas lunch provided by the facility for all staff, the joy and celebration has been nonstop. We loved celebrating our Christmas Bazaar & craft fair, the festive door decorating contest, the holiday accessory day, cozy holiday pajama day, the hot chocolate bar, Santa pictures, and the fun scavenger hunt.

Most of all, this season has been filled with incredible giving to others, laughter, and an amazing holiday spirit that makes Sunshine feel like everyone’s family.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this season so special—we are grateful for each and every one of you!
