We’re building more than a new assisted living community, we’re building something special for the Spokane Valley.

As a family-owned company since 1949, caring for seniors has always been personal for us. Our mission has stayed the same for generations: to serve this population with dignity, compassion, and a true sense of home.

This new community will bring thoughtfully designed living spaces, dedicated care, and a team that treats residents like family—because that’s how we’ve always done things. We’re proud to continue our legacy right here in the Spokane Valley and can’t wait to welcome residents through our doors soon.

Exciting things are happening!
Progress at our new assisted living community is right on track, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Beautiful amenities are coming together, and residents will soon be able to choose from studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments designed for comfort and ease.

Best of all, this new community will be part of the Sunshine family, where care, connection, and community come first. Stay tuned—great things are ahead, and we can’t wait to welcome you home!

The holiday season here at Sunshine Health Facilities has truly been magical!
From our Festival of Trees and Ugly Christmas Sweater Day to a delicious Italian Christmas lunch provided by the facility for all staff, the joy and celebration has been nonstop. We loved celebrating our Christmas Bazaar & craft fair, the festive door decorating contest, the holiday accessory day, cozy holiday pajama day, the hot chocolate bar, Santa pictures, and the fun scavenger hunt.

Most of all, this season has been filled with incredible giving to others, laughter, and an amazing holiday spirit that makes Sunshine feel like everyone’s family.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this season so special—we are grateful for each and every one of you!

Yesterday we traded our traditional work attire for PJs and enjoyed warm mugs at our Hot Chocolate Bar — and wow, did Sunshine bring the fun!

From fluffy slippers to festive pajamas, the smiles were flowing just as much as the cocoa. Days like this remind us that work can be productive and fun.

So grateful for our amazing Sunshine team who makes every day brighter!

Shoutout to Our Amazing Leader, Matt!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Sunshine, thanks to the incredible talent and dedication of our very own Matt!

Matt pours his heart into decorating every Christmas tree across our campus, making sure each one brings joy, wonder, and that extra-special holiday magic to our residents. His creativity is unmatched, and his love for making others feel special truly shines this time of year.

And a big thank-you to Luke for jumping in and lending a helping hand — volunteers makes the holiday sparkle even brighter!

We appreciate you both for bringing so much cheer to Sunshine!

What an amazing day filled with laughter, sweet treats, and festive spirit!
Our Fall Festival had it all - a bake sale full of delicious goodies, a costume contest that brought out everyone’s creativity, and a costume parade that lit up the halls with smiles.

Pumpkin Decorating & Carving Contest in the Sunshine lobby — our team’s creativity was on full display!

And of course, nothing warms the soul like our Chili Cook- we tasted, voted, and cheered on our favorites!

At Sunshine, we work hard and have even more fun doing it!
