Today was one of the hardest days for me.
Almost 6 years ago I met with an attorney friend to set up an LLC to start a crazy new adventure. I was so excited that as I drove off I failed to remember I was parked next to a light post and scraped the side of my car up pretty good. 🤦♂️
Shortly after I started talking to Ryan, a PT friend of mine, and convinced him that he needed to pick up some side work working for me. I can vividly remember standing by our cars of a church parking lot and talking for quite a while about it.
Thankfully he saw the image and he joined.
Later, he ended up partnering with me and we started growing the business together.
We made it through Covid, a near purchase of another company (twice 🤪), and the growing pains of a startup practice.
Things continued to progress until recently when life threw me a curveball I never saw coming. Said curveball is now uprooting me and my family and moving us across the country to southern Utah. It was never in the cards, but I believe that God knows best, so I trust Him. But it’s not easy, to say the least.
The last few weeks have been rough, and especially this last week. I’ve said goodbye to some dear friends who have helped me along my entrepreneurial path and taught me so much, but more than that, impacted my life in indescribable ways.
Today Ryan and I went to lunch for the final time as business partners. It was a hard goodbye to say, leaving someone who has been through so much with me.
Some say business partnership is hard. It can be, but I wouldn’t have done it any other way. Ryan is a phenomenal therapist and I have learned so much from him over the years. He takes fantastic care of his patients and helps them get their lives back. I’ve loved learning from him. It was hard signing things over to him but I know he’s going to continue on to do great things. He has an incredible vision for providing health and wellness services to the people of Spokane.
Over the years my goal has been to be a resource to the community I love. I hope I have achieved my goal. It has been an absolute blast and I will always look back fondly on my days with 509 Therapy Hub. Until next time!
