Our acupuncturist is here to help: reduce headaches, reduce pain, support fertility, support pregnancy, and help with hormone imbalances. We have noted that many people are interested in knowing our "Price Range." Being a holistic & medical clinic this is difficult for us to answer as a single or multiple dollar signs. Self-care is vital to health- reaching optimal health is priceless. Appointments include: adequate time with a professional who cares about your well-being. We will courtesy bill insurance companies with whom we are credentialed with. In these instances we collect only a co-pay. Lab costs vary according to the lab and the test. Some are as low as $60.00 Some are as high as $1000.00. Most are somewhere in the middle ($116-$500). Food sensitivity testing often ranges from $85-$1000 depending on the size of the panel. We will discuss which labs are recommended and the cost prior to ordering them concerning specialty labs. Labs ordered thru PAML usually have insurance billed, and we have no way of knowing the out of pocket cost. We do have a wonderful and caring Acupuncturist at our office: Emily Laning EAMP, LAc. Please keep in mind not all plans have acupuncture benefits. MOXA (a Chinese healing herb which smells like burning wood or burning weeds) is used in this office! If you are sensitive to the smell please let us know prior to your visit so we can prepare accordingly. We are credentialed with many insurance plans. We also have reasonable cash/credit rates.

Eating with the Seasons

Many traditional cultures (including: Ayurvedic tradition and Chinese medicine tradition) eat according to seasons. In Chinese medicine the human body is seen as a microcosm of the natural world. Chinese dietary tradition recommends eating foods that harmonize with the present season. Autumn correlates with the lung system, which dominates respiration, circulation, body fluid metabolism, and the skin. Immunity issues and melancholy emotions predominate the autumn season, as the body turns inward to prepare for winter.

During the autumn season, the days become shorter and colder. Cold dry weather often causes itchy throats, dry noses, chapped lips, dry skin, and dry stools. Foods with moisture become important to ensure the body can balance the cold, dry weather. Foods that help moisture are a good choice such as: eggs, apples, nuts and seeds, pears, pumpkin, and honey. Autumn is time to start eating warmer, heavier foods in preparation for the winter. In winter the focus becomes storing energy, rest, and meditation. Warming, strengthening, building foods like: lamb, soups, stews, warm squash meals, and porridges are eaten along with warming or immune enhancing herbs like garlic, ginger, and astragalus. In autumn and winter it is a good idea to eat fewer cold salads and eat more soups.

Do you have any favorite autumn foods or recipes?

A coordinated campaign under the guise of "safety" will make it easier to remove supplements that the Government decides they do not like. This is not a good thing.

"A well-organized, coordinated campaign from the FDA and Big Pharma is threatening access to the supplements you depend on. Using the false premise that supplements are unsafe, the FDA is working to gain more power over the regulation of supplements in order to further solidify Big Pharma’s monopoly over medicine." Standing for Informed Consent and Medical Freedom, for any and all medical treatments and therapies, you have a right to accept or deny the: test, treatment, and/or procedure.

Your body is YOURS and does not belong to another person, nor a government entity.

"Be warned: we will all lose if this pandemic becomes a showdown between COVID-19 injection mandates and the right to bodily integrity."

"The government doesn’t need to tie you to a gurney and forcibly take your blood or strip you naked by the side of the road in order to render you helpless. As this showdown over COVID-19 injection mandates makes clear, the government has other methods—less subtle perhaps but equally devastating—of stripping you of your independence, robbing you of your dignity, and undermining your rights.

"With every court ruling that allows the government to operate above the rule of law, every piece of legislation that limits our freedoms, and every act of government wrongdoing that goes unpunished, we’re slowly being conditioned to a society in which we have little real control over our bodies or our lives.

"You may not realize it yet, but you are not free.

"If you believe otherwise, it is only because you have made no real attempt to exercise your freedoms.

"Had you attempted to exercise your freedoms before now by questioning a police officer’s authority, challenging an unjust tax or fine, protesting the government’s endless wars, defending your right to privacy against the intrusion of surveillance cameras, or any other effort that challenges the government’s power grabs and the generally lopsided status quo, you would have already learned the hard way that the American Police State has no appetite for freedom and it does not tolerate resistance.

"This is called authoritarianism, a.k.a. totalitarianism, a.k.a. oppression.

"As Glenn Greenwald notes for the Guardian:

"Oppression is designed to compel obedience and submission to authority. Those who voluntarily put themselves in that state – by believing that their institutions of authority are just and good and should be followed rather than subverted – render oppression redundant, unnecessary. Of course people who think and behave this way encounter no oppression. That's their reward for good, submissive behavior. They are left alone by institutions of power because they comport with the desired behavior of complacency and obedience without further compulsion. But the fact that good, obedient citizens do not themselves perceive oppression does not mean that oppression does not exist."

"Get ready to stand your ground or run for your life."

Stand against coercion. Stay true to yourself.

Be Well.

Concerns about COVID-19 mandates and bodily integrity are part of a much larger debate over the ongoing power struggle between the citizenry and the government over our property “interest” in our bodies.

"Scientific publication moved faster during the pandemic, but the quality of the work was poorer."

"We take away two lessons from the Covid-19 myocarditis story. One is that SARS-CoV-2 can sometimes, though rarely, cause heart inflammation — just as many other viruses do. Clinicians, therefore, can appeal to sound medicine; further testing can be decided on an individual basis. Screening low-risk patients with MRI and other fancy tests is neither necessary nor wise."

"The broader lesson is that science communication in times of crisis must keep a level head. The public, and decision-makers, need properly controlled studies instead of early sensational reports. In a world where success is measured by clicks, the idea that even mild cases of Covid-19 could pose a new and unprecedented threat to the heart took off. That fear has largely been unsubstantiated, though news of it won’t spread nearly as quickly."

"The story of “Covid heart” is not over. Future studies will undoubtedly provide more information. But people who have recovered from Covid-19 have no special reason to worry about their hearts. Instead, we should all worry about the incentives in the modern media world, and why we got so far ahead of ourselves."

Keep Calm, Think critically.

Early reports suggested that SARS-CoV-2 aggressively causes myocarditis, or "Covid heart." The real verdict is in: It doesn't.

Informed consent is based on the moral and legal premise of patient autonomy: You as the patient have the right to make decisions about your own health and medical conditions. You must give your voluntary, informed consent for treatment and for most medical tests and procedures.
