1. Room Acclimation: You'll spend 15 minutes acclimating to the room temperature (68 degrees). This ensures the most accurate thermogram reading.
2. Thermogram Imaging: Our provider will take images of your breasts from different angles, capturing a comprehensive view of your breast health once acclimated.
3. MammaCare Breast Exam: Your provider will perform a clinical MammaCare breast exam, meticulously noting any abnormalities and ensuring a thorough evaluation.
4. Follow-Up Provider: We're here for you beyond the appointment. Your thermography provider will assist you in finding a follow-up provider, ensuring continuity in your breast health journey.
5. Results Discussion: Your results will be sent directly to your follow-up provider, whom you’ll visit for an in-depth discussion of your thermogram results. Any areas of concern will be addressed, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of your breast health.

How does thermography work? 🤔

The procedure uses infrared to track how the blood flows under your skin. This is important because many types of breast disease pool your blood together. While it’s not a 100% accurate scan, it does give you a better idea of your body and lets you make choices based on the knowledge. Added to regular breast exams, this gives you one more tool to help with managing the chance of developing breast cancer.
