The Accreditation for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) is an Associated Advisory Council of the Executive Board of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). ACOTE is recognized as the accrediting agency for occupational therapy education by both the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). (NBCOT®) is a national not-for-profit organization that provides certification for occupational therapy professionals. NBCOT® develops, administers, and continually reviews its certification process based on current and valid standards that provide reliable indicators of competence of occupational therapy practice. NBCOT® exam pass rate for EWU Department of Occupational Therapy: New graduate NBCOT® certification exam test takers in 2021 demonstrated a pass rate of 100%.
