We took time away from social media for many reasons. Unfortunately, social media seems to be a necessary evil for us to be able to reach and connect with people doing similar work. We will work to reconnect here while acknowledging social media as a colonialist gatekeeping tool.

This self paced course featured on the Teachable platform guides you through the 5 important foundation for supporting and caring for neurodivergent kids/clients. The second reads: I never realized that this isn't something that everyone understands...that this isn't something that all US born children understand.
Third reads: I also didn't know that this right is something I have thanks to black activists' and abolitionists' efforts in creating the 14th amendment.
Fourth reads: These understandings leave me full of so many emotions. Exploring my identity, role as oppressor, internalized colonialism as a mixed person of color, I often find myself in these lonely places of rumination while I sort out these feelings.
