💡 ADHD Brains Are Brilliant 💡

ADHD isn’t just about distractions or restlessness—it’s a powerful, dynamic way of thinking that thrives in creativity, intuition, and resilience. 🌟

Too often, ADHD is framed as a deficit, but a neurodiversity-affirming perspective sees it differently. Instead of focusing only on struggles, we recognize ADHD as a unique neurotype with inherent strengths like:

✨ Big-picture thinking – Seeing connections others miss.
🔥 Passion & hyperfocus – Deep dives into what truly matters.
💭 Innovative problem-solving – Thinking outside the box naturally.
💫 Emotional depth – Strong intuition and empathy.

ADHD brains aren’t broken—they’re brilliant. With the right understanding and support, ADHDers thrive in ways that neurotypical minds simply aren’t wired to—bringing unique creativity, insight, and innovation to the world. 🚀

Let’s rewrite the narrative: Your brain is wired for greatness.

✨ Free 15-Minute Consultations for ADHD Therapy! ✨

Are you wondering if therapy could help with ADHD? Have questions about what a neurodiversity-affirming approach really means? Let’s chat! I offer free 15-minute consultations to help you explore whether ADHD-specialized therapy is right for you.

Here are some common questions I hear:

💡 How can therapy help adults with ADHD?
ADHD therapy isn’t just about time management—it’s about understanding your unique brain and working with it, not against it. Together, we can navigate executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation, and self-acceptance in a way that actually works for you.

💡 What is a neurodiversity-affirming therapist?
Instead of seeing ADHD as a disorder to “fix,” I help clients embrace their neurotype and build strategies that align with how their brain naturally works. My approach is strengths-based, practical, and free of shame.

💡 What’s the difference between ADHD-specialized psychotherapy and ADHD coaching?
ADHD psychotherapy includes deep emotional work, trauma-informed care, and mental health support alongside practical strategies. ADHD coaching focuses more on external tools like productivity systems. If you’re dealing with anxiety, mood concerns, or identity struggles alongside ADHD, therapy might be the best fit.

💬 Have more questions? Let’s talk! Book your complimentary 15-minute consultation through my website today and take the first step toward ADHD support that actually makes sense for YOU.

I love that she describes ADHD as an imaginary friend—who is wonderful, but sometimes has their own agenda. Anyone else struggle to manage their impulsive “imaginary friends”? 😄

I can't wait to read DIRTY LAUNDRY: Why adults with ADHD are so ashamed and what we can do to help, co-written by life partners Richard Pink and Roxanne Emery. This book has come highly recommended as a helpful tool for anyone in a romantic relationship with one ADHD'er and one neurotypical. With humor, wit, and compassion, the authors discuss ten common ADHD symptoms from the perspectives of both partners--an ADHD'er and someone who loves them. Maybe you know somebody who could benefit from this book too?

📚 Team Recommendations of the Week 🎧

Such a quiet, reflective question posed by 🌙

I love a good butterfly metaphor. Call me corny, but what’s not to love about butterflies? 🦋 As caterpillars they eat, eat, eat, and then rest 🍎🐛😴 Then they transform their literal bodily material to become their gorgeous, fully formed selves! 😍 We are not at the end of our internal journeys, but we can take a lesson from the butterfly. Eat, rest, and let the natural course of things unfurl for you.
