ONE WEEK until I’m back in the office! It’s hard to believe maternity leave is coming to an end and life outside the postpartum cocoon is here. I’ve loved and appreciated this time so very much. I have also missed you all so much, so come see me and get adjusted. I’m back, baby! Schedule opens December 10th! 🤍

Wishing you all a very happy Thanksgiving from the Descoteaux family and Generations Chiropractic. We have so so much to be thankful for this year. We have been blessed with a new little one. We have our health. We have two amazing chiropractors that have given our family the opportunity to bond and heal while caring for our special community. I’m so grateful for our team, our community, our beautiful babies, and a supportive hubby that makes it all possible. 🦃💛

I’m not a big I told you so person… but I tried to warn on a previous post three weeks ago. Unfortunately this company is giving dangerous information telling parents they don’t need to boil the water for the formula. That simple step could have prevented the hospitalization of 13 infants. Please parents using formula for your kiddos, boil the water to sanitize the formula itself, which can be contaminated with pathogens like in this case.

6 years ago I was racing to the birth center after a full clinic day. One of my dearest friends was laboring with this sweet baby. The midwives were rockstars supporting her through all kinds of movement and positions but boy had some shoulderssss! To this day, he holds the record for the youngest baby I’ve ever adjusted at just 19 minutes old. I usually wait until after the golden hour, but mom and midwives wanted him checked right away due to his difficulty coming through the pelvis. What a privilege, wow! Happy birthday buddy! 🩵🩵

Happy birthday to Chiropractic today! 130 years ago, the first chiropractic adjustment was performed. So, I want to share my daughter’s first adjustment. At just a few hours old, tucked into bed after an intense and lightning fast birth, Lennon received her first chiropractic adjustment from her momma, giving her what I believe to be the best start to life! Some people may question why on earth a baby needs chiropractic care especially so soon. If you look closely you can see bruising and swelling around her eyes and cheeks. She was born in under 8 minutes! Her little body and nervous system had to adapt to major changes and force in very little time. Conversely, some babies spend hours or days working their way earthside and undergo prolonged stress. No matter the birth story, all babies deserve to start their lives in the most regulated and supported way. It’s such a special privilege to give someone their first adjustment and truly something magical when that someone is freshly born. ✨📸:
