Embodied Resistance
Date: August 3rd
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Cannon Hill Park
Embodied Resistance offers a healing-centered space where community resilience and compassion come together. Through movement, mindfulness, and collective connection, we aim to nurture the body, mind, and spirit in service of justice and support.
This event features accessible activities suitable for all bodies and levels, including meditation, slow flow yoga, sound baths, breathwork, and guided journaling. These practices help create a sanctuary within ourselves and foster resistance rooted in sacred self-care and embodied strength.
Tickets are a suggested donation $40 per person and the event is capped at 75 attendees to ensure a safe and intimate space. Proceeds will go directly to Manzanita House, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal assistance and essential services for immigrants and refugees. There will also be opportunities to donate more on the event site and in person — additional funds from food sales and prize drawings will be donated to other charities that support our community in similar ways.
Please bring a journal, water bottle, cash for a prize draw, and a blanket or yoga mat for sitting and relaxing. While this event is primarily designed for adults, children are welcome to attend. We kindly ask that all children present be mindful of the space and the needs of others, and that they participate quietly and respectfully.
Let’s come together to learn, connect, and embody resistance in the most grounded and sacred way we know how. Thank you for helping us create a calm, connected, and supportive environment for all. Your presence and participation are vital in fostering healing and solidarity within our community.
