This Red Tent gathering is a welcoming into a new season of life, an honoring of the transition from girlhood into the early stages of womanhood, led by Paige Mahoney .sacredbecoming.
Inspired by traditions of women gathering during their moon time, this ceremony creates a warm, supportive space where girls can learn, ask questions, and feel less alone in the changes happening within their bodies.
WHAT WE WILL EXPERIENCE TOGETHER
• Hear stories of first periods from women of different generations
• Be introduced to the natural rhythms of the body and its connection to the cycles of the moon
• Receive simple, age-appropriate education about the menstrual cycle and what is happening in their bodies
• Learn about different period products and options in a supportive, open environment
• Take part in a red thread ritual symbolizing connection to themselves and the lineage of women
• Be gently honored and witnessed as they step into this new phase of becoming
This is not a clinical class, but it does include grounded, practical information woven into a heart-centered experience, bringing both understanding and meaning to this time of change.
We welcome all feelings here, curiosity, excitement, uncertainty, even discomfort.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Girls typically ages ~10–14 who have started their period or are approaching it, and a parent or trusted adult to attend alongside them.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• A cozy, welcoming Red Tent space
• Storytelling and shared wisdom
• Gentle, age-appropriate education about the body and menstrual cycle
• Introduction to period care options (pads, tampons, cups, etc.)
• A symbolic ritual and small take-home items
• A supportive, non-judgmental environment

Paige, creator of Sacred Becoming, a labor & delivery nurse of over 20 years, and women’s circle facilitator. She brings both grounded knowledge and a deeply intuitive, heart-led approach to creating spaces where women and girls feel seen, safe, and supported.
