We are deeply saddened by the passing of Lucas Pancoast, the cherished child of Ted Pancoast, a valued supporter of our construction project. Our hearts go out to the family during this unimaginable time. As a community, we stand together in grief and remembrance. May Lucas’ memory be a source of light and love to all who knew them.

Joya Program Director, Ginette Kerkering, DPT, recently presented Joya’s operational business model to a Business, Ethics, & Law class within the Doctorate of Physical Therapy (Whitworth DPT) program at Whitworth University. The class is taught by Adjunct Faculty Brian Cronin, co-owner of our neighboring partner, U-District PT . Ginette shared how Joya’s not-for-profit structure supports our mission-driven work and fielded thoughtful questions from students eager to understand how values-based care can thrive in today’s healthcare landscape. She also encouraged students to consider a meaningful career in pediatric therapy. Joya values opportunities to partner with colleges and universities, helping inspire and equip the next generation of healthcare professionals.
