Getting Ready for Even More Indoor Fun!

While we’re waiting for our new multi-sport indoor nets to arrive, our residents have been having an absolute blast with balloon bop! 🎈😄✨

There’s been giggles, big smiles, and lots of friendly “competition” as everyone warms up for all the games we’ll be able to play once those nets are set up. I can’t wait to see the creative indoor fun our residents come up with next! 🙌💛🎉

The traditional Christmas Elegance outing at the Davenport Hotel is always a highlight for our residents! This year, everyone happily “hopped” on the bus with our wonderful drivers, Jessica and Lucy, to admire the stunning Christmas tree displays. A few hopeful raffle entries were made—fingers crossed to win one of those gorgeous trees! The adventure continued with a scenic ride back through already well-decorated neighborhoods, returning to South Hill Village just in time for a cozy dinner.

The first of many holiday celebrations kicked off during our Friday Social Hour—and what a start it was! Kevin Gardner, Joel Johnston , Hannah Siglin, and Alex Mabe filled the room with festive cheer, performing all the beloved Christmas classics along with a few older, much-requested favorites. Residents and family members sang along, laughed, and truly embraced the joyful beginning of our wonderfully busy and love-filled season!

Today, our residents enjoyed a festive performance as Kevin Gardner and his friend Joel filled the room with cheerful classics—including a lively rendition of “Up on the Housetop.”

Residents and staff tapped along to the beat, shared smiles, and soaked in the warm holiday energy these two always bring. What a wonderful way to celebrate the season together! ❤️🎶

Our bi-weekly Chair Volleyball games continue to spark amazing competition between the two teams. Each session brings the lobby to life as residents fill the space with energy, laughter, and joyful entertainment for everyone around.

We also kicked off a brand-new activity today—our Walking Group with Tyler Martindale, a therapist from Assured Home Health. Residents enjoyed a beautiful, colorful fall day as they strolled together, picking up helpful tips from an expert while staying active and engaged.

✨ What a day we had yesterday in ! ✨
It was one of those days filled with joy, energy, and meaningful moments.

Our morning began with a visit from the wonderful Cataldo Catholic School at St. Augustine 8th grade student volunteers, who helped us put the finishing touches on our no-sew fleece blankets. These cozy creations will soon be donated to Blessings under the bridge, and our residents loved being part of something meaningful.

The afternoon became truly special with a beautiful live performance by local youth violinist, Christopher Lee Anderson. His talent, poise, and warm presence filled our community with music that brought calm, smiles, and a sense of connection. Our residents were fully engaged and loved every moment of his performance. 🎻✨

To end the day, we gathered for another Family Dinner Night, and it was truly wonderful. The room was filled with conversation, laughter, and the simple joy of sharing a meal together. Moments like these remind us how meaningful it is to bring families and residents around the table to connect and enjoy each other’s company. ❤️🍽️
