🎉 Yesterday was another big win for our crew — first place in Pub Trivia! 🏆 Our residents lit up with joy as they teamed up to take on other communities in a friendly battle of brains. So much laughter, teamwork, and pride filled the room. Way to go, trivia champs! 🧠💛

Happy 4th of July from all of us at South Hill Village! 🇺🇸✨ Residents and staff came together for a joyful celebration with a traditional BBQ, patriotic desserts, and a special festive drink. Some of our talented painters also showcased their skills by creating beautiful acrylic paintings of the American flag. What a wonderful way to honor Independence Day together!

Another unforgettable Italian Night to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association!
The evening was truly one to remember as the room was transformed into a charming Italian restaurant scene. Guests were serenaded by the beautiful sounds of a real Italian accordion player while the South Hill Village management team served up a delicious selection of noodles and sauces. Some residents and families got even more into the spirit by striking a pose in our Italian street photo booth — the perfect snapshot to capture a special night for a great cause!

It was a sensational afternoon of art and music!

Residents proudly exhibited their beautiful artwork—some created before moving into the community, and others inspired by our popular “Sip & Paint” classes.

The afternoon was made even more special with a remarkable performance by Scott Kirby, a well-known interpreter of Scott Joplin’s ragtime music. He was joined by Eileen Henry, who sang a selection of classic jazz and blues tunes, much to the delight of our residents—many of whom joyfully sang along. https://scottkirby.net/music/

We had another great Family Dinner Night last night—this time in honor of The Longest Day, an Alzheimer’s Association event that raises awareness for those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. 💜

Staff wore our “HOPE for a cause” shirts to show support, and it was a beautiful evening spent with residents and their families. Thank you to everyone who joined us in support of this important cause!

Hot Rods, Hot Dogs & Rock’n Roll!
We kicked off Father’s Day weekend in style with a fantastic event featuring classic cars, live music, and great food! A group of classic car enthusiasts proudly displayed their vintage gems, drawing smiles and admiration from residents, families, and neighbors alike.

Kevin Shay and his band brought the energy with lively rock’n roll tunes that had the crowd tapping their toes. Meanwhile, delicious hot dogs were served and enjoyed by all.

It was a joyful afternoon filled with fun, nostalgia, and community spirit—just the way we like to celebrate!

Another Successful Sip & Paint!
Our latest Sip & Paint class was a hit! We took things up a notch by exploring some advanced texturing techniques with acrylics. The residents embraced the challenge and were so proud of their finished pieces. It’s amazing to see their creativity grow with each session!
