Wow—another incredible week at South Hill Village, with so much to enjoy together as the weather surprised us by turning back to winter with SNOW! ❄️

We were excited to welcome many new residents and kicked off a Coffee Chat gathering, giving everyone a chance to connect, share stories, and warmly welcome our newest neighbors into the community.

In the midst of all the excitement, we had a blast participating in a Spintopia game with our sister community, The Village at Rancho Solano—who beat us in a fair game. Congratulations to them!! We also enjoyed another fascinating presentation from Chet Caskey, who shared a great history of Spokane, highlighting the well-known Davenport family. And of course, we can’t forget the energy and enthusiasm of our chair volleyball—where resident competitors played tirelessly for nearly two hours!

Our Social Hour also brought something new this month, featuring a special mixed drink with a couple of delicious options to choose from—adding a fun twist to an already lively gathering.

Although our scheduled entertainers were unable to join us, Hannah Siglin graciously stepped in at the last minute. We were treated to her beautiful voice and talent, making the afternoon just as enjoyable and memorable.

To wrap up the weekend, a group of residents hopped on the bus and headed out to a magical concert by the British Brass Band. It was the perfect ending to a delightful and activity-filled week!

Today we had a wonderful visit from the Cataldo Catholic School at St. Augustine, and it turned into the perfect way to celebrate National Plant a Flower Day while getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day! 🌱🍀

residents and students spent time together painting flower pots to look like festive leprechaun hats. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and creativity as everyone added their own touch to the pots. After the paint dried, our residents and staff planted clover plants in each one, creating cheerful table centerpieces that are now brightening up our dining areas.

It’s always special to see our residents and students working side-by-side and enjoying time together. Today was full of creativity, connection, and a little St. Patrick’s Day spirit! 🍀

Last week at , we enjoyed some wonderful moments together!

A few residents joined us for a scenic drive out to see the Bowl and Pitcher at Riverside State Park. The views were beautiful, and it was a lovely way to get out, enjoy the scenery, and spend time together.

Later in the week, we were treated to live music from Kevin Gardner Music and Joel, who filled the room with great songs and energy. Residents and staff had a great time listening, singing along, and enjoying the music together.

It was a week full of fresh air, great music, and even better company! 🚗🎶

At South Hill Village, we are fortunate to have a strong management team that also deserves recognition for the dedication and care they bring to our community every day. This week, we had the pleasure of celebrating our Health and Wellness Director, Ingrit, with a surprise birthday party.

It was a wonderful moment that brought the team together, giving everyone a chance to share some laughter, appreciation, and a little celebration for someone who does so much for our residents and staff. 🎉HAPPY BIRTHDAY INGRIT!

From Bunco to canvas creations, and from needle work to restaurant outings, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy.

Another exciting day at South Hill Village with our weekly Social Hour, featuring live music from Kevin Gardner and Joel Johnston. The talented duo performed many well-known hits and honored several resident requests, filling the room with familiar tunes and great energy. One highlight of the afternoon was their wonderful duet of Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson’s classic, bringing smiles and plenty of toe-tapping from the audience.

Adding to the afternoon’s enjoyment, our sous-chef Michelle prepared an exquisite fruit tray that residents and family members truly enjoyed. It was a wonderful time for relaxing, socializing, and sharing great music and conversation together.

The event was also a great opportunity to celebrate a special birthday for one of our residents, Bonnie Carlson, who shared the celebration with her friend Linda. It made the afternoon even more festive and memorable for everyone involved.

Last night was one of our favorite evenings here at — Family Dinner Night 💛

There is something so special about seeing our residents gathered around the table with the people they love most. Laughter filled the room, stories were shared, and memories were made over a delicious meal together.

Moments like these remind us that Connections isn’t just a place to live — it’s a place where families come together. We are so grateful to our amazing staff who helped make the evening beautiful and welcoming for everyone.

Today was extra special as we celebrated our February birthdays in the sweetest way! 💕 We had the honor of welcoming the incredibly talented The Weddle Twins who filled the room with wonderful music, smiles, and lots of toe-tapping fun! 🎶✨

They wrapped up the celebration by leading everyone in a joyful rendition of “Happy Birthday,” making our guests of honor feel truly celebrated. 🥳🎤
