Our Initial Steps

We began in early 2018 by meeting with numerous elected officials in Olympia Washington to advocate for the passage of Governor Inslee’s proposed 2017-2019 budget. We were specifically interested in the mental health section of the budget that increased funding for community needs.

We met with officials across the aisles. Democrat and Republican alike were open-minded and understood the issues facing communities in regard to mental health, co-occurring disorders and addictions.
