Come meditate with me!
I’ve been talking to y’all about this for a while now and it feels like the timing and seasons are finally aligned 😌
Please join me for an hour of quiet contemplation in nature weekly, Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30.
I will pick a peaceful spot near water for us to spread out where we will enjoy the collective consciousness of a group meditation for an hour.
This is a “bring your own meditation” practice, so if guided meditations are your thing, bring some headphones, if you want to take a walking meditation there will be ample area to explore, and if you just want to sit and stare at the water, or close your eyes and let your senses fade away, this space is yours. All forms of meditation are welcome.
The most accessible form of meditation for me no matter my headspace is always a walking meditation or a water gazing meditation, so while this is not a guided experience I do think it’s very beginner friendly, and if people want to reflect, process, or ask for meditation advice after the hour is up, that’s an option, but not a requirement.
The location will eventually change each week but for ease of getting this off the ground I would like to meet at People’s Park for the first month (May). There’s no parking fee or pass required. We will meet in the parking lot on the south side of the river and then I will guide us to a nice beach where we can settle in.
Bring something to sit or lay on, water, sunscreen, and good footwear. I will always try to pick an accessible path, but being by the river sometimes washouts happen on the trail.
Please come with reverence for the space that we are in, and take care to not spread out on any fragile plants or leave anything behind. I like to pick up any trash I see on the walk out as an offering of gratitude to the space, so feel free to join me in this practice if you wish.
This will always be free and open to anyone who feels called to come along.
I can’t wait for the deepened sense of meditation that will arise as we nurture our individual contemplative practices in nature together! 💚
