Precision Pilates of Spokane

Precision Pilates of Spokane We are committed to teaching all levels of Pilates work to all levels of clients. It increases strength and flexibility in a balanced manner.

Pilates begins by addressing the core musculature (abdominal, pelvic and back) thru specific exercises performed using eccentric contractions, which simultaneously lengthen and strengthen muscles. Pilates unites the mind with the body by using the principals of breath, focus, precision, flow of movement, centering, coordination and balance throughout each exercise. The exercises are preformed on a mat and various pieces of equipment fitted with springs.

Day 12 of March MAT-ness: Swan Dive

One of the greatest benefits of mat Pilates is its ability to build full-body strength, improved posture, better mobility, and deeper body awareness.

In today’s exercise, the focus is on strengthening the back muscles through spinal extension. It helps counter the forward posture many of us develop from daily activities like sitting and working at a desk.

Day 11: The Saw

The mat work is the foundation of the Pilates method, with each exercise building strength, mobility, coordination, and control as the series progresses. Mat Pilates may look simple, but without springs or equipment to assist you, the body must rely on its own strength, control, and Precision.

✨Follow along as we continue exploring the classical mat—one exercise at a time.
