At Foundations we approach each diagnosis and functional difficulty by looking at the whole person.
We aim to treat the foundational neurological connections, not solely the symptoms.

At Foundations we approach each diagnosis and functional difficulty by looking at the whole picture and treating the body systems according to their neurological connections. With each condition whether it be learning difficulty, visual dysfunction, head injury, stroke, trauma recovery or alignment discrepancy our aim is to treat at the neurological root of dysfunction.
Primary reflexes are what lay the foundation for neurological development and are located in the brain stem. They are our survival movements. When a baby is born these movements are what the baby has in its “movement tool box” to survive through the birth canal and begin moving against gravity for the first time.
Voluntary movements and posture are organized and developed through the constant practice of these primary reflex movements as the baby develops. Because these movements and their neurological connections begin so early in development they are also linked with the development of our emotional and cognitive development as well.
When something has prevented any of these primary reflexes from developing properly the body can respond in stress. MNRI supports bringing the nervous system out of a stressed state and re-engaging efficient and correct postural motor patterns by re-patterning the underlying primary reflexes.
This method has been successful in treating learning disorders, alignment discrepancies, neurological disorders and developmental delays. The Masgutova Method is based on Dr. Masgutova’s research and hands-on work with thousands of patients since 1989. It is firmly grounded on the research of a wide variety of distinguished psychologists and neurophysiologists, many of whom began their careers in Russia during the early 20th century.
A gentle, manual therapy which releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. This is done by affecting the circulation efficiency of the cerebral spinal fluid which runs throughout the brain and spinal cord. Health of this system is significant for overall well being. Many symptoms can ultimately stem from inefficient flow of the cerebral spinal fluid circulatory system. The craniosacral technique supports efficient neurological signals and can help synergize reflex integration. Developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger.
