What have you tried lately that has put yourself out of your comfort zone?
I know trying new things can be so intimidating. We all get frustrated when don’t pick things up easily. But don’t let that become a habit!
It’s so normal when trying something new to feel frustrated, insecure, impatient…etc. I know sometimes it’s just easier to avoid it. But trying new things is so important for growth and mental health.
When we learn new skills we’re activating new parts of our brain, creating new neural pathways. Learning motivates us, gives us a challenge to get through, and can have such a large impact on our overall emotional health.
Learning something new creates novelty
✨😍✨(here’s looking at you my neurodivergent friends!)
Which as humans we CRAVE. Neurodivergent or not. When we are often feeling stagnant and stuck it can be because we aren’t challenging ourselves enough, trying new things, meeting new people.
Newness, while scary, frustrating, anxiety producing etc…also brings excitement, joy, play, silliness, and humility.
We’re not always going to pick things up easily, but don’t let that stop you from exploring all the cool things we can explore in this lifetime!
