The core of these routines lies in their connection to well-known, consistent rhythms, which promotes movement, enhances coordination, and emphasizes the pleasure of dancing! 🎶❤️

✨ Resident Spotlight: Meet Joanne ✨

Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, Joanne has lived a life full of creativity, community, and adventure. She graduated from Boise High School, where she was honored as Queen of Job’s Daughters, and later attended the University of Idaho, where she was a proud member of Gamma Phi Beta and earned her degree in Home Economics. After college, Joanne spent 10 years in Moscow, Idaho, working as an Extension Home Economist for the University of Idaho. She traveled throughout Latah County supporting farm families and judging 4H competitions — a role that reflected her passion for helping others.

Joanne and her husband raised two beautiful daughters together and later settled in Pullman, WA, where they spent 45 wonderful years together. During that time, Joanne owned her own interior design business on Main Street and even returned to school to earn her Master’s degree in Design focused on accessibility in 1999. A longtime WSU Cougar Football fan (45 years as a season ticket holder!), Joanne also loves skiing, spending time at her family cabin on Hayden Lake, and traveling — including trips to Spain and France. 🎿✈️ These days, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, coloring, painting, crafting, and being outdoors, whether it’s a peaceful walk or a scenic drive.

We’re so lucky to have Joanne as part of our community! 💛

Join us in celebrating Chris, our Treasure of the Month! 🎉

Chris is a cook here at Spokane Memory Care, and even though he’s only been with us for a few months, he’s already made a meaningful impact in our dining department. From the meals he prepares to the care he puts into every dish, our residents truly feel the difference.

Chris is a fantastic team player—which comes as no surprise since his favorite part of the job is working alongside his co-workers. He especially enjoys cooking comfort meals, knowing how much our residents love and appreciate them. Outside of work, Chris enjoys playing video games and spending quality time with his family.

Thank you, Chris, for your hard work and dedication. We’re so glad to have you as part of our team! 👏

Griffin's visits for pet therapy consistently bring smiles to the faces of our residents at Spokane Memory Care. We believe that the interaction and affection flow both ways, and that our residents' presence also brings joy and happiness to Griffin during his visits! 🐶❤️
