We are aware of recent claims made by the pet’s owner alleging that our organization is requesting thousands of dollars for medical care. We want to clarify that this information is inaccurate.

At no time have we requested any additional funds for the care of her pet.

Our highest priority remains the well-being of the animals entrusted to us, and we remain committed to transparency, integrity, and the compassionate care of every animal.

We would like to sincerely apologize for a recent situation that occurred at our clinic involving inappropriate use of a client’s phone. An employee mistakenly believed the phone belonged to a co-worker and, in a moment of poor judgment, took lighthearted photos. Unfortunately, it was later realized that the phone in fact belonged to a client.

We want to be clear this was an isolated incident, and it does not in any way reflect the standards of professionalism, care, and compassion that we hold ourselves to when serving our patients and their families.

After conducting a thorough internal investigation, we have confirmed that the individual involved did not know the phone belonged to a client. Nevertheless, this behavior was unacceptable, and we are addressing it directly with the staff members involved to ensure this never happens again.

We understand the seriousness of this matter and the trust you place in us when bringing your beloved pets into our care. Protecting that trust is our top priority, and we are committed to learning from this situation so that it does not occur in the future.

To our clients and our community: please know how deeply sorry we are for this incident. We value the confidence you place in our team and remain dedicated to providing the compassionate, professional care that your pets deserve.

🌈✨Today is National Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day✨🌈

Today, we pause to honor the incredible bonds we shared with the pets who touched our lives and have since crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 💕

Though they may no longer walk beside us, their pawprints remain forever on our hearts. Each wag of a tail, each purr, each joyful bark or gentle nuzzle is a memory we hold close — a reminder of the unconditional love they gave so freely. 🐾

The Rainbow Bridge gives us comfort in imagining a place where our beloved companions are happy, healthy, and waiting to greet us again one day. Until that time, we carry them with us in our stories, our laughter, and even in the quiet moments where we still feel their presence.

The Pet Emergency Clinic and Referral Center is in need of life-saving dog and cat blood donors here in the Northwest. 💉❤️

We are currently seeking volunteer donors:

🐶 Dogs who are:
✅ Happy & healthy
✅ Over 40 pounds
✅ Between 1–6 years old
✅ Able to lie still for about 10 minutes

🐱 Cats who are:
✅ Happy & healthy
✅ At least 10 pounds
✅ Between 1–6 years old
✅ Able to lie still for about 10 minutes

Your pet could be the difference between life and death for another animal in need. 🐾

🐾❤️ A Note About Weekends at the Pet Emergency Clinic ❤️🐾

Weekends can be especially busy in emergency veterinary medicine, as most general practices are closed. Just like a human ER, our team triages patients—meaning we see pets in order of the severity of their condition.

⏳ If you find yourself waiting, please know:

It doesn’t mean your pet has been forgotten.

It usually means your pet is stable enough to wait safely by your side, where they are more comfortable.

Our doctors and nurses are always aware of who is waiting and will check in as needed.

We also want to share that we have a Pet Urgent Care just up the road from our emergency clinic! 🐶🐱
This clinic is designed for non–life-threatening concerns such as:
✔️ Ear infections
✔️ Limping without known trauma
✔️ Skin and eye issues
✔️ Other minor illnesses

🚫🐱 Hair Ties + Cats = A Dangerous Combo! 🐱🚫

Many cats love to bat, chase, and chew on hair ties—but what seems like harmless fun can actually be dangerous! If swallowed, hair ties can cause serious intestinal blockages that may require emergency surgery.

✅ Prevention Tips:

Keep hair ties, rubber bands, and other small objects stored safely in drawers or containers.

Provide plenty of safe cat toys to redirect their play.

Supervise playtime with string toys, and put them away when not in use.

⚠️ Symptoms of Ingesting a Hair Tie May Include:

Vomiting or dry heaving

Loss of appetite

Lethargy

Abdominal pain (may resist being picked up)

Changes in bowel movements or straining

Heading into the wild with your four-legged best friend? 🐕 Here are some tail-wagging tips to keep your camping trip safe, fun, and full of adventure:

🦴 Pack the Essentials
Don’t forget food, water, leash, waste bags, and a cozy bed or blanket. Bonus points for bringing their favorite toy!

🎒 First-Aid for Fido
Bring a pet first-aid kit including tweezers (hello, ticks!), paw balm, and any medications. Be proactive and research local veterinary clinics near your destination just in case.

🐾 Trail Etiquette
Always leash your pup around others, and pick up after them! Leave no trace—except paw prints 🐾

🌞 Beat the Heat
Bring lots of water and offer frequent shade breaks. A collapsible bowl is a game-changer!

🔥 Campfire Caution
Keep pets at a safe distance from the fire and sharp sticks—no one wants a singed tail!

🛏️ Secure Sleeping Spot
Let your pup sleep in the tent with you (it’s cozier anyway)! Keeps them safe from wildlife and chilly nights.
