She goes out of her way to make everyone feel like they are a valued part of the team. She is warm and has a connection with all of the residents and she cares about all of them. She listens to them and makes them feel special. Not only do they consider her their caregiver, but most importantly their friend. She advocates for everyone at Dove Healthcare - Spooner. "She deserves the recognition because she cares not most of the time, but all the time."

Please help us thank Tina, resident assistant, for going Above & Beyond! Felisha, a fellow resident assistant shared, "Tina deserves to be recognized because she works so hard for the residents. She makes sure that things get done daily and works whatever hours is asked of her. She sacrifices personal time and time with her children and family. She is willing to do what it takes so the residents are always being taken care of and helps out any way that she can. She’s a team player in every sense of the word, and doesn’t get nearly enough credit for it. She deserves the recognition because she cares not most of the time, but all the time."

This week is National Assisted Living Week, Sept. 7-13! 'Ageless Adventure' is the theme this year, which reminds us that the journey never stops, and adventure has no limit.

Throughout the week our residents are invited to participate in variety of activities, and we will have special recognition for our team members as well.

We are so grateful for our residents that have entrusted us with their care and our employees for their dedication to providing compassionate care and service to those that depend on us. Thank you!

We are happy to introduce you to Dove Healthcare’s new Vice President of Operations, Jennifer Burklund!

A 2010 graduate of the health care administration program at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Jennifer comes to us with over 15 years of long-term care experience. She has spent the majority of her career in Wisconsin nursing homes in a variety of roles; most recently, regional operations support.

Jennifer shared, “I am privileged to lead the team at Dove Healthcare. My priority is to ensure those we serve receive the highest standard of care, and our team feels valued, supported and is set up for success."

Jennifer grew up in New Auburn and lives in Bloomer with her daughter and son. She enjoys spending time with her family, staying active outdoors, travelling with her significant other, Matt, and relaxing on the lake.

Emily is responsible for overall performance and operations, which includes supervising the assisted living directors and assisted living nurse consultants. Our assisted living locations will benefit greatly from an enhanced, collaborative focus on developing goals, implementing strategy, identifying efficiencies, and leveraging resources

Dove Healthcare has experienced great success over the years with our HomeGROWN approach: recognizing passion, dedication, and capabilities in team members and then supporting them with growth as opportunity arises.

Emily is the perfect fit for this new position having achieved multiple promotions since joining our team almost 10 years ago. She has advanced from resident assistant, lead resident assistant, assistant director, director, multi-location director, and administrator.
