Hello loves. I haven’t posted here in a long time but this seems the place to drop in my deep appreciation and love for a friend who passed this week.
Scott Tice was one of the first friends I made after moving to Spooner. He attended the same yoga classes I went to. His smile and piercing blue eyes made me feel at ease and seen.
He loved our yoga community and went to extremes to add to its growth.
Back when the Chocolate Studio was open, I casually spoke about how cool it would be to offer aerial yoga to our community. Scott said “I’ll help you build it. I’m about to retire and I have the time.”
We spent months together building out the walls and the beams. As we worked we talked about community, family, travel, politics, food, hypnosis, electric bikes and meeting the love of his life and her family.
His generosity. His all in spirit. His desire to assist me and then finish up with enough daylight so he could go out on the water. He lived each day so fully because that’s what he loved.
He taught me a lot. I loved him a lot.
When we finished our project he turned to me and asked- do you think people will come for classes?
I don’t know many people who show up so big without being attached to the outcome like Scott was.
Building that aerial studio was an act of love for our community. So. Much. Love.
