This morning we join our community in praying for those whose lives have been affected by the terrible shooting victims. Society today is very different than when myself and my spouse grew up. Adjusting to having to check and make sure our children are not involved in something serious is not something we had to do in the 1970's or 1980's. Being a parent today is stressful enough without worrying about things like our children getting involved with guns. As parents, we are the ones who are to instill values and respect in our children. We completely understand that life is busy and we run out of time and steam by the end of the day. However, our main job when we have children is to guide them in the right direction. If you are having issues with your teen reach out to his or her school counselor, talk to your pastor, and look for activities to keep them busy. We pray that today will be a better day for everyone. Hello all of our wonderful students and employers. If you are not aware, we travel outside of the state of Virginia to teach CPR, First Aid and other classes. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you are interested in us coming directly to you for your courses. We truly love what we do and value our relationships with our students and their employers. I also ask that you kindly refer us to those who take CPR. We teach the way we want to be taught. No boring, long lectures. We use our personal experiences to explain the details of why each step in CPR is necessary and how it is done.

I'm searching for a group in Northern Virginia needing either BLS CPR or CPR and First Aid certification. Certified American Heart Association Instructors will come to you to educate you and your staff or even family/friends. We offer weekday, weekend, and evening classes to make scheduling more convenient for you and the other students.

Whether certification is for employment or to prepare for emergencies, these classes are designed to educate you well. Everyone should know CPR. In the United States, there are over 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests annually, with nearly 90% of them being fatal, according to the American Heart Association. 90%!!! Why, you ask? The percentage is so high due to a combination of factors. These include delayed access to medical professionals, lack of bystander intervention and the time-sensitive nature of cardiac arrest. YOU can help change that percentage! YOU need to get involved. And YOU need to get your family, friends, co-workers, church group and anyone else involved.

We say all of this because it is a clear urgent need to change this. Let us help you and you help us to change this percentage. I would rather you are prepared and not need these skills than not prepared and need them. What a horrible feeling this would be to need to know and not know CPR. What if it is your mom? Your dad? Your spouse? Your child or grandchild? Your neighbor? Regardless of who needs CPR, let us help you gain the knowledge to know what to do.

What a beautiful day it was outside today!! Take the time to thank our creator for all we have. Enjoy your blessings and be grateful for them. Make plans to spend time with family and friends.

And.....if you so desire....schedule a class for your family to be certified in CPR and First Aid.

Good morning from Tennessee!! Yes, we travel out of state to teach our classes. Share our information to anyone and everyone. We truly love what we do. Good morning everybody. This time of year has alot of the area plaqued by the flu. I cannot emphasize enough to teach your children and/or grandchildren to wash their hands everytime they use the restroom and before they eat.

Dan and I along with most of our household are sick with the flu. This is the first time in many years that I have gotten the flu. I can honestly say it is no walk in the park.

If you suspect you have the flu, please stay home and help stop the spreading of it. Older people and people with ongoing medical problems have a harder time recovering from the flu.

Drink plenty of fluids, take something your doctor recommended for the headache, bodyaches and fever. Get lots of rest.
