Oh my lord. So this threat of rain Friday night/Saturday morning turned out to be a tornado touchdown with groundstrike lightning on the south end of Sophia’s Grove. Five large oaks down, three across a fenceline adjoining our neighbor. Horses are fine, slightly energized, bit more hungry than usual. Good horses.

The tornado headed across the south end of our property, took out powerlines on Hwy 281 & then headed east towards Canyon Lake, kind of in the direction of Hwy 306. Thanking our stars: could have been much worse. And hoping for a quieter night tonight!

A glorious Sunday afternoon at the Grove with ladies from the Sophia Wisdom Circle and the Horses for Peace (here in the photos, Stella and Rocket, lol). We shared poems from Gaza and Tel Aviv, and some heartfelt reflections.
