Hey friends, it’s been a minute!

Two years have flown before my eyes and I’m missin the doula world something fierce - while I’m not longer in PA, I know the need is everywhere and I’m excited to explore opening my doors again to support mamas in need here in northeast GA!

A little update: my surro baby was born 11/30/24! We had a LONG journey - 26 months and 3 embryo transfers long. But my goodness, God sure had His plan. It was an incredible experience and who knows…. Maybe one day I’ll give him a sibling 🤪

I’m happy to be back - and if you’re in my area locally and looking for some postpartum support, I’m your girl! 🤍

Surprise!!

Over the last couple weeks, an amazing opportunity presented itself to my family and we are takin it and running!

Starting immediately, SSDS is closed. My heart is just bursting with love for my past clients and I just want to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you for your support.

Once my family gets settled, I may dip my feet back into the doula world in Georgia. But for now… family comes first 🤍

Hi friends! I’ve been pretty silent on here lately….

I wanted to give an update on my surrogacy journey. We transferred a beautiful, perfect baby girl on Feb 9th and God decided she was better suited to be with Him than us. The transfer unfortunately did not work. We are crushed and I’m very heartbroken for my intended parents.

HOWEVER, He is so good and we will not give up! The process of switching clinics to where their other embryo is has begun and we hope to do a second transfer in the upcoming months.

Just a lil update to let y’all know that I’m still here! I’m taking VERY limited clients right now, but have very wonderful doulas to refer others to 🤍

I’m still here y’all! 😆

Life has been nuts the past month with all things surrogacy. As a quick update: I matched with my AMAZING intended parents (IPs) at the beginning of October. Since then it’s been a whirlwind of paperwork, psychological screenings, medical evaluations, and now I’m in the middle of my mock cycle medications! The end of my mock cycle will be right after Thanksgiving and we plan to start the official transfer cycle by the end of December or beginning of January 🤩 send all the sticky baby dust our way!

That all being said, I am officially booking birth clients again! Postpartum will still be referred to other doulas as I need to make sure I’m taking care of my body 100% while carrying my surro babe (which means I need to sleep 🤣).

Soooooo finally I’m back! Woo! Please reach out for any and all birth inquiries 👶🏼

Two years into being a business owner and doula, and today I had a first.

Today I had to end services with a client for the benefit of my own mental health and family. I’ve been very candid with you all about struggling with anxiety and OCD, and while I won’t go into detail on the situation (that’s unprofessional in my opinion), I will say that continuing to work with this client would have put my mental health in the sh***er.

So, I ended services. Wanna know why? Because I can. Because I am a human with a family who will ALWAYS come first. Nasty things were said back in response to my reasonings, and now some false rumors are being spread.

I came into this work to be a helper. And I’d like to say I have a lot of people who would back me up in saying I’ve done that for them. But at the end of the day, you can’t pour from an empty cup.

So here’s your daily reminder that you need to put yourself first sometimes. You’re allowed to remove yourself from situations that do not serve you. Because YOU matter. 🤍

In case you missed it…

I’m going to be a surrogate! Which means I am currently not taking any clients EXCEPT virtually. Anyone who reaches out to me will be referred to other doulas (who are equally as amazing 😉) for the extended future.

I’m so excited for this journey and how it will allow me to help my future clients even more! 🤍

Hey y’all! I’m still here 👋🏼

Been a little quiet lately but that’s because of trying to be as present as I can with my kiddos before they both start school in a few weeks. Can I get an amen?! 😅

Just wanted to make a post to share that I am currently BOOKED for all in person birth support through the remainder of 2022! I’m super blessed to be able to even say that.

I am, however, still currently taking virtual birth support clients and alsooooo a new service, virtual postpartum support! Want someone to be able to ask all the millions of questions you’ll have as a new parent? Ask for recommendations, product suggestions, etc? Hit ya girl up then 😁

There’s always that special bond between myself and clients. Being a part of such a vulnerable and life changing event together allows for certain tightness you wouldn’t get otherwise.

Holding these two babies while knowing I helped each of their mamas, one in person and one virtually, bring them into the world makes my heart overflow with joy.

When I’m your doula, you become family. Your babies become part of my life, as do you. 🤍

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I am DAMN lucky to do this for a living 🤍
