We have several new items in our gift shop for some family fall fun! This paint-your-own wooden mushroom kit is a great art project for artists six and up, and for kids on the littler side, our new children's book "Barn in Fall: Festival Fun on the Farm" and the finger puppet book "Little Witch Cat" are sure to get everyone in an autumnal mood 🍂🍁

Happy UffDa Fest to all! Among the many activities in town this weekend, we have a hand in a few. Come to the Old-Time Barn Dance tonight, or see us tomorrow in Viking Memorial Park 1-3pm for Kubb (kids encouraged to show their parents how to play). And if you sign up for the UffDa Scoot (4pm tomorrow, line up your golf cart or side x side by the park), you'll scoot by Giants for the Lutefisk toss (we promise it involves no eating of lutefisk). And we're also hosting our friends from Sons of Norway Valheim Lodge for their Kaffemat tomorrow 10am-1pm and their 3rd annual hot dish contest Sunday 11:30am-1pm (competitors use the hot dish submission link in the comments, due tomorrow 8pm).

Who remembers the 2023 Barn Dance? That year the Ye Olde Gray Barn still had the yellow brick road from the summer musical, Wizard of Oz.

We have many wonderful children's books in our gift shop including these two board books, "Counting with Barefoot Critters" and "Adventures with Barefoot Critters". These books make learning numbers and the "ABCs" fun for children!"

Our murals hold many memories. Tucked away in the top left corner of this panel, there's a picture of something many don't realize we once had in Spring Grove: our very own ski jump! This photo from 1912 shows the actual ski jump depicted in our mural by Sigmund Årseth. It may look a bit scary to our modern eyes, but it was a popular spot in its heyday.
