This week, our Crisis Response and Management class welcomed families and a Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, UF Gainesville representative, Tracy Cox, to share insights on autism and crisis response.

☀️ That’s a wrap on our 2025 Posability Summer Programs! 🎉

Over the past 8 weeks, we’ve had a blast with Kids Club and Summer Sensations — full of fun, exploring, friendships, and memories!

This final week, each child got to design and create their very own sensory bin based on their unique interests, and we were amazed by their creativity! 🧠💡👐

We’ve absolutely LOVED spending the summer with every kiddo who joined us. Thank you for making this Summer so special. 💜

We are glad you asked, here is some info on the programs we offer at Posability:

🪫🔋Parent Recharge:
3 hour respite opportunity for families affected by disability.

At Parent Recharge children with special needs and their siblings make new friends, play fun inclusive games, enjoy crafts, dinner & a snack, accessible activities, and much more! Meanwhile, parents get a break from their ongoing care-giving responsibilities for three hours. (Ages 3-22)

🎨Creative Posability:
Provides a creative arts focused respite opportunity for families affected by disability.

At Creative POSABILITY, children with special needs and their siblings will enjoy expressing themselves creatively through varying art projects, make new friends, and play fun and inclusive games. Meanwhile, parents get a break from their ongoing care-giving responsibilities for three hours. (Ages 3-22)

🛝Kids Club:
is a DAILY afternoon program for all children with disabilities AND their siblings!
At Kids Club, POSABILITY Kids make new friends, play fun inclusive games, enjoy crafts, stories, accessible activities, and much more! Meanwhile, parents get a break from their ongoing care-giving responsibilities for three hours daily.
(Ages 3-22)

☀️F.R.I.E.N.D.S:
is an opportunity for 13-22 year olds to build meaningful connections with peers, learn social skills they can apply, and incorporates fun games! Teens then go out into the community and put their new skills into practice!

🎉 Celebrating 35 Years of the ADA! 🎉

Today marks the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — a groundbreaking piece of legislation signed into law on July 26, 1990 that changed the landscape of civil rights in the United States.

The ADA prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in all areas of public life — from employment and transportation to education, government services, and public spaces. It opened doors, created access, and empowered millions to live, work, and participate fully in their communities.

At Posability, we celebrate this historic milestone and honor the advocates, families, and individuals with disabilities who continue to push for equity, accessibility, and full inclusion.

💪 The ADA was just the beginning — and there’s still work to do. But today, we pause to recognize and celebrate how far we’ve come and continue to advocate and create a world that is accessible to all!

☀️🏝️ Summer Sensations! 🖐👃👂👀👅
This week at Emmalee’s Clubhouse, we explored more senses!

🎨 The sensory bottles were a hit! Every child created their own unique bottle using materials like glitter, beads and other materials! They got to shake, swirl, and admire what they made—proudly taking home a tool they can use whenever they need a moment to calm or refocus. 💖

Sensory play isn’t just fun—it’s essential for developing minds. It helps kids regulate emotions, build fine motor skills, and understand their environment in a way that’s safe and engaging.

KIDS CLUB is a DAILY afternoon program for all children with disabilities AND their siblings!

At Kids Club, POSABILITY Kids make new friends, play fun inclusive games, enjoy crafts, stories, accessible activities, and much more! Meanwhile, parents get a break from their ongoing care-giving responsibilities for three hours daily.

Age/Grade Requirement: 3 years old to High School Seniors

$75 (non-refundable) registration fee per child, HOLDS your child’s spot for the 8 week semester. The Summer/Fall semester runs from August 11th - October 2nd, Monday through Thursday of each week. This does not include holidays recognized by the School district calendar.

STANDARD/FULL WEEK OPTION: A Weekly fee of $60 per week per child, will be collected at the beginning of each week prior to their arrival to Kids Club each Monday.

FLEX OPTION : Weekly fee of $40 per week per child, will be collected at the beginning of each week prior to their arrival to Kids Club. You have the FLEXIBILITY to choose which two days to attend each week.
