As many of you have noticed, I have not written a blog in about nine months. I have not stopped wanting to write blogs, but been stuck on who to write about. I have a couple ideas on who to write a blog about next, but those ideas are soon to run out. If anyone has a blog idea/suggestion, please let me know.
Today’s blog is about Henry Pointer, a Civil War veteran and stock raiser from Spring Hill, TN. I hope you enjoy!

Sporadic riffs on everything

In a few weeks, we will celebrate the place we call home — Spring Hill. You can join in on the fun by taking part in our Founder's Day History Hunt!

Each day, from April 28 - May 2, we will post a History Hunt clue on our page at 9 a.m. That clue will lead you to one of our historic sites around town to find a Golden Ticket.

The first resident to find the Golden Ticket for the day and bring it back to City Hall will win a Spring Hill gift basket, which includes tickets for free tours at Rippa Villa, along with Carter House and Carnton in Franklin, and plenty of other prizes.

The History Hunt starts in just two weeks — Happy Hunting!
